Back to Basics Care provide you with an opportunity to combine the
theory part of your study and assessments based on real life on-the-job
case studies and true to life simulated activities.
Back to Basics Care delivers interesting workshop activities; simulated exercises; and
actual workplace experience and assessment with ongoing one-on-one support
throughout the training.
Back to Basics Care is proud to be able to provide a course that enables you to
become a caring, confident and qualified care worker.
Course Delivery
The course is what is known as a blended delivery technique. All the theory subjects
are completed at home at your own pace yet within a set of reasonable timeframes
to complete each module.
Back to Basics Care provides a unique Distance Learning process, combining face
to face, practical workshops, and at home study. All supported by qualified Trainers
and Assessors along with a Student Support team who provide regular weekly
contact offering each student one-on-one encouragement and guidance. All of
which are readily accessible during standard business hours for any questions or
assistance the student may require.
Learning Resource
Back to Basics Care provide comprehensive learning resources which include
professional text material, assessment tasks, student handbook, pre-assessment
notice and relevant information required for the student to complete their study.
The learning resources are provided electronically at the beginning of each module.
Hard copy materials are also available however fees will apply.
Back to Basics Electronic Learning Resources and Distant Learning methods
vs On-line Training.
One of the great advantages of our courses is that the courses are electronic,
without being delivered in the traditional online manner. Normally if you were to do
a course online, you have to log on to, and work from a website. With our method,
you no longer need that constant internet connection.
The way our courses work is that once you sign up, you will be emailed out a link
where you can go to download your text book, assessment booklet and assessment
tasks. Once downloaded (and it’s only a very small download, normally a couple of
megabytes) you can work on the course anywhere, at any time. This means you can
easily work on it anywhere you can take your laptop; at work, at a coffee shop, in
the car while you wait to pick the kids up from sport.
Once you have completed a task, you simply connect back to the internet and
send us it back to us in an email for marking. It’s that added flexibility that really sets
our course apart.
