DX-S – Delivering the fastest Computed Radiography at the lowest doseDX-S, Agfa HealthCare’s groundbreaking Computed Radiography solution, has created a new threshold in CR. At its heart are two breakthrough technologies unique to Agfa HealthCare: DirectriX needle-based detector technology and Scanhead line-to-line CR simulation and light collection technology. DirectriX needle-based detector technology for sharper imaging and dose reductionDirectriX, Agfa HealthCare’s needle-based detector technology, strongly reduces light in the scintillator layer, minimizing scattering and producing a sharper image. The result is improved image quality and allows for patient dose reduction that is the new threshold in CR imaging. This technology, and the related allowance for dose reduction, is beneficial to all patients, but is of particular value in pediatrics.

Scanhead line-to-line CR stimulation and light collection technology for increased speed and reduced system sizeThe line-to-line scanning provides an accelerated read-out resulting in a fast preview image and a high cassette throughput of up to 130 cassettes per hour.
