This provides a real-time 3D picture, with unparalleled resolution and update speed. Because our solution is rooted in software and because we collect 10,000% more information than conventional radars, our capabilities are broad and flexible – PSR, drone-detection, wind-farm mitigation, etc – all using the same technology.

As the Midlands’ largest airport, it serves more than 150 direct scheduled and charter routes and offers an additional 340 possible connections worldwide.

In July, Birmingham Airport released its 15-year Master Plan to set out its vision on how it would improve its infrastructure and deliver excellent service, catering for 18 million passengers a year. Over this period, the Airport will generate £2.1bn to the regional economy annually, supporting 34,000 jobs by 2033.

It has also made a commitment to become a net zero carbon airport by the year 2033, prioritising zero carbon airport operations and minimising carbon offsets.

This year, Birmingham Airport has again been voted Best UK Airport for airports above 10 million passengers per year by the Airport Operators Association, as well as Best UK Airport above 10 million passengers per year by the British Travel Awards.

MIDDLE EAST AIRLINESAirport Road, PO Box 11-206, [email protected]://www.mea.com.lb Contact: Capt/Dr Mohammed Aziz FRAeSMiddle East Airlines was established in May 1945. In 1963, it merged with Air Liban and in 1968 most of its fleet was destroyed on ground as a result of an Israeli attack on Beirut International Airport; however, the airline emerged stronger.

The frequent closure of Beirut International Airport during Lebanon’s civil war between 1975 and 1990 constituted another challenge to MEA; again, the airline managed to survive. With the return to normality in 1990, MEA succeeded in reinstating service to all its previous destinations and strengthened its network.

From 1998 to 2002, MEA implemented its largest restructuring ever, turning around the company from huge annual losses to achieve profits for 17 consecutive years.
