1. Heat-shrink wraparoundRaychem wraparounds MRSM andCRSM wraparounds are fast, versatileand for permanent repair of damagedflexible and rigid cable jackets for LV & MV cables. The adhesive exhibitsexcellent bonding and sealing cha -racteristics to materials commonly usedin various cable and cable jacket, suchas plastic, rubber, cross-linked poly -ethylene, lead, aluminium and copper.They ensure tight moisture–proof andinsulating seal and can be easilyremoved. High abrasion resistance,flexibility and excellent insulation aretypical properties.

2. Heat-shrink flame–retarded tubing

Raychem FCSM tubing is designed foruse in hazardous areas where electricalinsulation, flame retardance andflexibility and abrasion resistance arecritical factors. The combination ofthese features has FCSM being used ina wide range of demanding applica -tions, in particular to insulate, to protectand seal flexible LV and MV cable joints& terminations. The tubing with and orwithout adhesive coating is available.

3. Heat-shrink tubing for fire hazard areas

Raychem ZCSM tubing has beendeveloped to provide a low smoke, lowtoxicity, and low gas generation whilebeing highly flame retardant and havinglow caloric value. The value of low firehazard materials is increasinglyrecognised not only because of thepotential fire hazards, but also thecorrosion damage by halogenatedmaterials to equipment. The tube canbe used as re-jacketing for LV and MVaccessories to the same fire standardsas the cable.

4. Heat-shrink tubing for insulatingand sealing

Raychem WCSM tubing is designed torestore the mechanical, electricalproperties of the cable jacket of LV andMV cables. It’s internal adhesive providesan excellent moisture seal. The tube is widely used to protect, insulate and sealLV & MV cable joints, accessories andelectrical connections.

5. Heat-shrink tubing for insulating,sealing and weathering

Raychem MWTM tubing is designed toinsulate electrically, resist weatheringand ultra-violet light, to stand up tocontinuous temperature changes, tokeep out moisture and corrosive liquidsand be resistant to oils and solvents.The tube is extensively used to protect,insulate and seal power LV & MV cablejoints, LV terminations, accessories andelectrical connections.

6. Cable end capsRaychem heat-shrinkable end caps are used to seal the ends of plastic,rubber and paper insulated cables from moisture, corrosion and dirt.

7. Cable breakoutsRaychem heat-shrinkable breakouts are used to seal the crutches of plastic, rubber and paper cables up to 1kV. The breakout is coated with hot meltadhesive, which seals onto the cablejacket and the core insulation.

8. Heat-shrinkable joints for flexiblecables up to 1kV

In modern heavy industries such asopen cast mining, shipbuilding, steel-works and chemical plants flexiblecables used for power supply have to withstand rough handling andprolonged exposure to abrasion andaggressive liquids. To meet the need forfast dependable connection and repairtechnique, Tyco Electronics Raychemoffers a joint system that is slim andflexible enough to allow spooling of the cable, quick to install, resistant toaggressive liquids and to mechanicalabuse.

9. Heat-shrinkable terminations forflexible MV cables

The termination EMKT is designed for7.2kV screened flexible rubber insulatedcable with one or three earth cores.The termination HVT-C is designed for 5, 8 and 15kV screened flexible rubberinsulated cable with one or three earthcores.

10. Gel motor connections up to 1kV

Gel Cap motor connector kits quicklyand conveniently insulate, seal andprotect stub splice connections up to600 V. The robust yet compact designwas engineered to handle the harshenvironment of motor connections.They are also suitable for other appli -cations including street light con -nections. The especially formulatedmaterial provides excellent abrasionresistance, electrical insulation andultra-violet resistance. The cap istransparent which allows visualinspection of the connector duringservice life. The cap is pre-filled with gel.

11. Heat-shrink motor connections 1 to 5kV

MCK-1V & MCK-5V are designed formaking fast and reliable bolted spliceconnections to motor terminal boxes.Allows stub or butt configuration of theconnector.

12. Gel filled joints for flexible cablesup to 1kV

Raychem power gel filled joint for 1.5 upto 35mm2. It consists of flame retardedrugged closures. It is designed to sealand protect the joint quickly and efficiently. No special tools needed.

13. Resin-filled joints for 1kV cablesRigid resin-filled joints are available for avery wide range of in-line and branchjointing applications on fixed power andcontrol cables. These joints are basedon well-proven polyurethane resin thatprovides both electrical insulation andrugged mechanical protection.The resin joint kits have few componentsand are simple and quick to install. They are suitable for armoured or unar moured multi-core cables and canaccommodate all types of conductorconnector.
