CYTOKINES - GROWTH FACTORS MATRIKINES
“MATRIKINE" : MATRIX FRAGMENT WITH CYTOKINE-LIKE PROPERTIES
Key modifyers of cell functions (proliferation, differentiation, migration)
-Properties distinct from their original unproteolyzed counterpart (cryptic
sites)
-Regulators of matrix metalloproteinase expression
-Proteolysis of any given matrix macromolecule leads to matrikine
generation ; a matrix constituent may contain several potential matrikines
with distinct functions
-Low affinity (< nM) to receptor/cytokine
-Multivalent presentation (tenascin-C ; decorin ; elastin)
-Mode of presentation to cells and conformational dependence

PROJET “MMP-11 – Adipocytes”(M.C. RIO, IGBMC, Strasbourg)

3. Net modifie l’expression de PAI1 (Buchwalter G et al., Mol CellBiol.2005.25(24):10853).
Objectifs
Personnel1 chercheur CNRS, 2 ITA CNRS, 7 CDD (post doc, doc)

composants matriciels (F.X.Maquart, Reims)
