Students holding an Advanced Diplomaare welcome to apply for admission into allprogrammes, except the LLB and the BA (Hons)Business Management programme. Subject tocandidates also having GCSE or equivalentqualifications in English and Mathematics.

All applications will be treated individually, andthe University would wish to see some evidenceof relevant work experience and/ or acommitment to the industry.

The Robert Gordon University (RGU) is modernuniversity, with around 15,000 students,including around 2000 international studentsfrom more than 70 countries.

RGU was named as the best modern university inthe Times Good University Guide 2010 and oneof the leading UK universities for graduateemployment record after Imperial CollegeLondon and the University of Bath. From coursesto facilities, the focus at RGU is firmly onemployability.

The University has very close links with the NorthSea oil and gas industries and used to call itself‘the energy university’. However, following anextension of its courses into nursing, business,design and engineering, RGU is now branded as‘the professional university’.

The university has been investing heavily in newtechnology and launched an award-winningvirtual campus with an online course in e-business for postgraduates. There is a multi-million- pound fitness and leisure complex andthere are 27 sports clubs for students to join.

Holders of an Advanced Diploma will also beconsidered for year 1 entry onto the otherdegree programmes in hospitality and tourismmanagement offered by UCB.

University College Birmingham (UCB) is anaccredited college of the University ofBirmingham, which is internationally renownedfor the quality of courses offered in the fields ofthe culinary arts, hair, beauty andcomplimentary therapies, service sectorbusiness and marketing and sport.

All of the full-time degree, foundation degreeand postgraduate courses lead to qualificationsawarded by the University of Birmingham withthe exception of UCB’s specialist BA(Hons)/FdAin Salon Management which is awarded by UCB.

UCB is home to 7500 students, including 1100international students from over 60 countries.

TVU is the leading university in England fornursery, midwifery and paramedical studies andhouses one of the largest healthcare faculties inBritain.

Located in a modern coastal city, at the heart ofthe vibrant north-east of England, the Universityof Sunderland is one the best 'new' universitiesin the UK for the overall quality, quantity andrange of research. The University has beenrecognised for 'world leading' research in anumber of areas including computer science,media, automotive, art and design and tourism.

The University of Sunderland has over 17,500students who can enjoy one of the UK’s newestcampuses, voted among the top ten campuses.There are around 7000 international studentsfrom 70 countries.

Holders of an Advanced Diploma wishingto pursue further study with the Macau Instituteof Management in the Bachelor of BusinessAdministration programme (Chinese BBA) willbe given a 40% block exemption.

Further exemptions may be granted, and allapplications will be dealt with on an individualbasis.

Macau Institute of Management (MIM) is theacademic arm of the Macau ManagementAssociation, a registered and recognised highereducation institution in Macau.

Established in 1988, the Institute has beenplaying a key role in the training of managementexecutives in Macau. MIM offers a wide range ofacademic programmes, leading to qualificationsrecognised by the Macau SAR Government.

Holders of an Advanced Diploma willnormally be eligible to apply for entry into theBachelor degree programmes in Hospitalitymajors at Johnson & Wales University (JWU).

The Advanced Diploma units will be reviewed onan individual basis for students who apply toJWU, and transfer credits (exemptions) towardcompletion of Bachelor degree subjects may begranted for units which are similar in content,level an duration to those in the intended JWUmajor.

Applications from holders of the appropriatecertificates will normally be considered foradmission, provided that all other academic andnon-academic requirements, including Englishlanguage proficiency, are met.

Johnson & Wales University (JWU) is widely arecognised as ‘America’s Career University’.

China, Macau
