The story of UNO is long and rich.
It began in 1908 and is still being written.
The belief that there is always room
for improvement is rooted in our culture,
while Omaha continues to grow
and thrive in tandem with us. Together,
our commitment to progress moves
the city forward as evidenced by the
construction of the new UNO/Community
Arena. Today's UNO is different from
the UNO your parents knew. We stand
on the shoulders of alumni who came
before us to greet this new and exciting
day as we continue to be Nebraska's
premier metropolitan university.
