As part of the National Science Day celebra-t ion, a thematic workshop on “Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future” is being organized by the Centre for Environmental Science and Engineering (CESE) IIT Kanpur on February 28 , 2018.

The objective of this lecture series is to give one faculty member of IIT Kanpur, each year, the honor of d e l i v e r i n g a l e c t u re t o t h e institute's community, sharing the excitement of his/her research with them. Prof. Sandeep Verma, Dept. of Chemistry was speaker of 2018.

Technology DayNational Technology Day is commemorated to celebrate the

anniversary of first of a series of successful nuclear test

(Pokhran II) held on May 11, 1998. IIT Kanpur celebrates

National Technology Day every year on May 11 with a series

of invited lectures and an exhibition of the innovations from

the institute. The theme of the event for 2017 was ‘From

Tinkering to Technology’ and students from different schools

in Kanpur city were invited to attend the talks.

The Institute Lecture Series is

an avenue to invite expert
