The program started off with bang, signing on nearly one customer per day during the month of December! Over 30 independent tire dealers qualified for the 2013 supply rebate, and over $5,000 in checks were sent out on March 15, 2014 to the qualified dealers. Myers has already launched 4 special promotions and more are coming later this year. Since becoming a preferred vendor of the T3 marketing program, Myers has signed up over 200 customers! TCi and Myers are excited to see the program continue to grow in 2014. Myers has 20 Regional Sales Managers and over 180 Salespeople in the field to support your needs. They stock over 10,000 different items to support all your tire and automotive service needs. T3 MARKETING NEWS TCi held its 16th annual Great Escape trip in early February on the Big Island of Hawaii at the beautiful Sheraton Kona Resort. More than 90% of the Great Escape winners were T3 dealers! Attendees who came in a day early enjoyed informative and engaging business break-outs from Michelin, Jody DeVere of Ask Patty.com and Wayne Rivers of the Family Business Institute. Activities during the week included golf on championship courses, a breathtaking snorkeling cruise, a flavorful visit to a chocolate and coffee plantation, zip-lining, and a day for dealers to drive around and explore the island on their own. This is what Scott Nall (pictured here) from ABC Truck & Tire Repair in Stafford, VA has to say about his Great Escape experience: “The business seminars were very informative, and the Michelin presentation gave us a chance to see the new products that have come out, or will be coming out. Getting to meet other AAD’s from all over the US, even though we all have a ‘tire business’, businesses are not all the same, and it is good to network and discuss various business strategies and opportunities. Meeting these people, in turn, brings up topics and conversations that you do not get to have on a regular, working basis. The time we get to talk with other dealers is a great networking opportunity that is hard to come by. The Great Escape is a wonderful overall experience!” On the final night of the trip, dealers were rewarded with a drawing for over $10,000 in prizes in exchange for their tire orders. Everyone is already looking forward to next year’s trip, which will be at the stunning all-inclusive Paradisus Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic from February 9 -13, 2015. SPRING HAS SPRUNG! BEWARE OF BUGS!

TCi & MICHELIN®

TRAINING COURSESWith the return of warmer weather and the prospect of enjoying the outdoors, so do the pesky insects. Whether at home or at work, keep yourself safe from insect bites by taking some simple precautions: • To protect yourself from biting and stinging insects, wear long pants, socks,

and long-sleeved shirts.• Experts recommend using insect repellents that contain DEET or Picaridin.• Treat bites and stings with over-the-counter products that relieve pain and

prevent infection.• Watch where you place your hands and feet when moving tires or perhaps

removing debris for your Spring cleaning. If possible, don’t place your fingers under debris you are moving. Wear heavy gloves.

Only a very few insect or spiders have bites that can be fatal, and usually only for those who are susceptible. The real danger in most cases is the potential for disease transmission. However, if you or someone you are with is having a severe reaction to a bite or sting (chest pain, nausea, sweating, loss of breath, serious swelling or slurred speech) get them immediate medical treatment.

Be aware of your surroundings, prepare properly for the activity and stay safe!
