AbstractThe environmental permit is required in case of any important modification in the technology used or of the method of operation of an existing facility or when the respective facility is out of use and dismantled. According to the Romanian environmental legislation any new major project depends on obtaining an environmental permit and impact assessment and authorization. The environmental permit is also required for any plan, program or strategy that may have an impact on the environment.The present project is entitled "THE ELLABORATION OF THE DOCUMENTATION NECESSARY IN OBTAINING AN ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION FOR AN OIL BASED PRODUCTS SELLING FACILITY". It follows step by step the process required for the release of an environmental permit and all the documentation necessary to obtain. The chosen gas station was the PETROMV located in the city of Mizil.Because of its significant impact on the environment, we have made a study on the environmental impact. These studies where conducted analyzing the quality of the air, ground, landscape, population and bio-diversity and the results were recorded in specific report forms.

This paper also contains a technological evaluation of the fuel loss that occurs from leaks and evaporation. It also includes the corresponding documents required to obtain the permit for the PETROMV Mizil gas station.
