Business environment changes require quick adaptability and robust knowledge transfer

simultaneously. • Environmental changes

– More complex products– Quicker response to customer demand

change– Counter balancing the supply deviances– Cost competitiveness

• The element of knowledge management system is the operator– S/he needs to know all the processes of

„all” products– S/he has to work with different

operators according to demand– S/he has to go on holiday, to time bank– S/he has to produce (learn) another

product for few days

Two additional layers in capacity and knowledge management create adaptability and

robustness• Product Families have dedicated

Teams with relevant knowledge for months

• Teams of about 15 people can work together for years

• Each Team works in dedicated cells forweeks

• Teams migrate to other Product Family if long term demand requires

• Time bank allocations of teams covershort term demand needs

• Not needed service capacity is turned into VA pushing out „less experienced” capacity

• Excess „less experienced” capacity is channeled out to TB, idle time, HC reduction
