RTJ GASKETS ntas CPI-RM / G-ST The RTJ gaskets are designed to work with a high temperature and pressure values. For this reason, if the sealing has to be maximum is essential that the flange surface be as maximum smooth as possible, without roughness and tools marks neither. The RTJ is plastically deformed and seals the surface irregularities that contact, for this reason the gasket material has to be always softer than flange material. This difference has to be, at least 20 HB. In the case where the gasket materials of RTJ type and the flange had a similar hardness, will be necessary do a thermal treatment to the RTJ gasket to reduce the hardness. The RTJ gaskets have a low recuperation. The sealing is produced for the charge action over the gasket. Our RTJ gaskets production is based on the regulation ASME B16.20, generally in octagonal profile or oval, and with a different kind of materials as AISI 304, 316L, 321, 347, INCOLOY 800, INCONEL 600, MONEL400,etc.
