FALL PROTECTION & LADDER SAFETY

2222At some point during the season, you may need to use a ladder. Your safety is very important to us, please remember the following:

Fall ProtectionNever climb on roofs or other areas above 4 feet without fall protection and the proper training.LaddersAlways inspect ladders prior to use. Each time, before using a ladder, fully inspect all of the following:RungsSide RailsSafety FeetNever use a broken ladder! Remove broken ladders from service and report to your supervisor.

Correct Ladder Use is Essential for Your SafetyAlways face the ladder and use both hands while climbing or descending.Never reach for objects -- always move ladders instead of reaching.Never stand on chairs, boxes, other items to reach objects. Use the correct ladder or step stool for the job.

Personal ErgonomicsDo not twist or bend at an awkward angleDo not over reachPush, never pullKeep wrists straight

Electrical Panels36in clearance must be kept in front of all electrical panels, fire extinguishers, fire hoses and breaker boxesArea should be marked with red tape

Items should not be stacked within 6in of the ceiling

Exit doors should never be blocked, any item blocking an exit door must be removed immediately

Fire Safety

Be aware and use your best judgment when confronted with anything out of the ordinary. Immediately contact your manager or Jacob if anything looks suspicious!
