Newsflash February 7, 2020

Dear Parents:

January has been a fantastic month. Thank you for your warm welcome and support. Catholic Schools Week was a great success thanks to you, our Crusader families. We started with our annual chili-cook off on Friday. We had a total of 15 entries this year. On Sunday, we had a great turn out at the 10 am mass. It was wonderful to see our students representing our school in mass uniform. On Monday we started Nickel Wars benefitting the “Better Night Sleep Program”. We collected $3,453.31, which will provide beds for a total of 340 children in need. Way to go Crusaders! In addition to nickel wars, we also collected toiletry items for St. Vincent DePaul. We are thankful for all those who contributed. On Thursday, we attended our first patriotic rosary led by Catholic Daughters of America. This was a beautiful prayer experience and we look forward to our continued work with the Catholic Daughters of America to have this rosary several times a year.

Our first Partnering with Parents (#MissionMatters) series was a huge success. We love having our parents on campus! We discussed security, curriculum enhancements, technology, and St. Anne’s overall strategic plan. We appreciate and value our partnership with you. February will be just as exciting with Steps for Students and our Annual Gala is coming up soon. You can assist our mission by your participation.

Thank you for choosing St. Anne.

Only by His grace,

Kendall Shamas

Your prayers are essential to support those who nurture our children in

all the programs and activities provided by our school. The traveling cru-

cifix is a school wide effort to pray for our students, families, teachers,

staff members, and volunteers as they engage in their daily work in edu-

cation.

The crucifix will be presented to your family at the conclusion of school

mass. We ask that you return it to the school office the following

Tuesday.

If you have any questions, please call the school office at 281-351-0093.
