Hello my dear friends. Happy Independence Day! May the Lordcontinue blessing our nation and us as we continue moving in our journeyhere on earth.

July 1st, we start our new Fiscal year in the parish. With all of what isgoing on in the world with the pandemic, all the protocols we have to follow, all the social and personal struggles we might be facing, we need to continuekeeping our focus in Him who is our Lord and Savior, and in God our Father, who is the source and summit of us all.

I would like to inform you that Deacon Dean Roberts has requested toBishop Hoeppner for a sabbatical and Bishop has granted and placed him onadministrative leave from his duties at St. Francis de Sales Parish, Moorhead.May this time be a time for him to rejuvenate in his call to be an ordainedminister in the Catholic Church. Let us keep him and his family in ourprayers.

May the Lord continue blessing you. I hope you have time to enjoy, within the circumstances, the rest of this summer. And let us continuepraying that things get better day by day so that we can move forward in ourlives.

Blessings, Fr. Raul

_______________

To all members of ChristianMothers at St. Francis:

As you know, monthly prayers areusually recited/offered on the firstSunday of each month. We will becelebrating Mass but ChristianMothers will not meet. Here is theprayer we say when we gather. Allmembers are invited to prayerfullyrecite it now.

O good God, we thank You, that Youhave given us children, made themheirs of heaven by holy baptism, andentrusted their training to us. Fill uswith a sense of our responsibility; assistus in the care of their health, butespecially in the preservation of theirinnocence and purity of heart.

Grant that we may teach them early toknow and serve You, and to love Youwith their whole heart. May You, inYour generosity, see fit to grant at leastone of our children the grace of avocation in religion.

Grant that we, ourselves may carefullyavoid all that we must forbid them, and may faithfully practice all that weshould teach them. Help us to furtherat home by example, the work of thepriests, religious and lay teachers inchurch and in school.

Grant us the spirit of sacrifice to studywith our children. Never allow us togrow soft nor to make life too easy forour sons and daughters. Help us toteach them the eternal value of self-discipline.

We commend them, O God, to Yourpaternal care, to the motherlyprotection of the Virgin Mary, and tothe guardianship of Your holy angels.Bless our efforts, O heavenly Father, and let our children advance in wisdomand age and grace before You andmen. Amen.
