OUR CURRENT ONLINE GIVING PROVIDER, PARISHPAY, HAS BEEN ACQUIRED BY LITURGICAL PUBLICATIONS.

All ParishPay accounts will be transitioned to WeShare, LPi’s online giving platform early in the fall. You do not need to do anything for this transition process. Your information will be transferred elec-tronically following the strictest security protocol. LPi’s system is PCI level 1 compliant certified-the toughest security for online transactions. Once the transition is complete, you will receive more infor-mation about how to login and manage your account on WeShare.

We welcome at all of the Masses on weekend of September 24th, Mr. Joseph Catafago. Joseph is a second year theologian at St. Joseph’s Seminary. Joseph is a seminarian for the Diocese of Rockville Center. Joseph will be speaking on Vocations to the Priesthood and our support of the upcoming St. Jo-seph’s Seminary Collection set for the weekend of October 15th.

Joseph Catafago was born and raised in Hicksville, Long Island. From a very young age he was always involved in his parish of Holy Family in Hicksville. This would include be-

ing involved in the Liturgy through the ministries of alter serving, lector, and extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, as well as teaching religious edu-cation and being involved in the youth ministry.

When it came to selecting what high school to go to, it seemed that there was only one option: Holy Trin-ity (GO TITANS!). There, he was involved in Stu-dent Government, Students Against Destructive De-cisions (SADD), campus ministry, and the theater program. Outside of school, he was a member of Boy Scouts and played basketball.

When senior year rolled around, he found himself seriously discerning the priesthood. This led him to apply to Cathedral Seminary in Douglaston, Queens as he attended St John’s University in Jamaica, Queens. There, he obtained his BA in Philosophy and Theology while also attaining a minor in An-cient Studies.

At St John’s, Joseph was also involved in campus ministry as part of the Catholic Scholars program. Upon the completion of his studies and formation at Cathedral and St John’s, Joseph began his studies at St Joseph’s Seminary in Dunwoodie, Yonkers. Dur-ing his years in formation, Joseph has been brought to many different places including Lourdes, Mexico, St Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal, Rome, Assisi, and Philmont, New Mexico.

During his free time, he enjoys watching movies (mostly superhero ones), playing sports (basketball, football, and baseball are his favorites), and talking about anything to do with the New York Mets
