Competitive Selection rules – Winter session

The International Admissions Service (SAI)

The International Admissions Service (SAI) of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) manages recruitment tests and interviews of students with a degree obtained outside France on behalf of five Management schools: Audencia Nantes, EMLYON Business School, ESCP Europe, HEC Paris and SKEMA Business School.

Eligibility

To be eligible to the SAI winter competitive selection, applicants must:

Application to the SAI competitive selection

Applications are on-line only, on the SAI website at: www.sai.ccip.fr

All information contained in their application is the applicants’ sole responsibility. No changes to the content of the application shall be accepted after the application deadlines (these include: choice of test, of examination centre or of school).

The number of successive applications every other year is not limited.

Applicants having deferred their integration in one of the five SAI member schools are not allowed to apply to the SAI selection tests in the following year. If they wish to re-apply, they must first cancel their registration to the school concerned.

It is the applicants’ responsibility to make certain that they can be easily contacted during the competitive selection. The principal communication medium used by the SAI being the email, applicants should ensure that they have given a correct and working email address when applying. Applicants must keep the SAI informed of any change in their contact details.

1 – Multiple applications

The SAI selection tests are common to the five following Management schools: Audencia Nantes, EMLYON Business School, ESCP Europe, HEC Paris and SKEMA Business School.

Applicants wishing to apply to one or more of these schools, should tick the appropriate box(es) on their online application form. Application fees amount to 175 € and do not change whether applicants choose to apply to one or more schools.

For administrative purposes, candidates are asked to create and validate only one online application.

2 – Deadlines for applications

For administrative purposes, applicants are asked to first validate their online application before they send to the SAI the official mandatory documents (except transcripts and degree to be obtained) no later than 1st February2011.

Any official item sent to the SAI prior to the validation of the online application will not be considered by the SAI.

3 – Sending official documents

All official mandatory documents (see Annex 1) must be sent to the SAI using express mail only (DHL, UPS, Chronopost, Fedex…) at the following address and they must be received by the SAI before the application closing date, taking into account that the Post office stamp is not considered as a proof :

The SAI may not be held accountable for the late arrival or loss of an applicant’s mail. It is the applicants’ responsibility to ensure that their mail has been well received by the SAI.

4 – Application fees payment

The application fee for the SAI competitive selection is 175 €. Final registration to the competitive selection is submitted to the full payment of the application fee. The application fee is non-refundable even in cases where the applicants should not be present at the selection tests or should decide to withdraw from the SAI competitive selection. Only the non-eligible applications will be sent and reimbursed to the candidates. The non-eligible candidates who make the fees payment by bank transfer will have to send a Financial Identification sheet of their bank account to be reimbursed.

The SAI winter competitive selection’s process

1- Eligibility

Applicants’ eligibility is decided upon review of their application and conformity of the official mandatory documents.The transfer of an application for the winter session to another session can be done on e-mail request only if the candidate has not been declared eligible yet to the winter session.

2- Selection tests

The SAI winter competitive selection consists of a written and an oral test. After the written test, the Evaluation Committee of the SAI member schools draws the list of admissible applicants. Only admissible applicants are invited to take the oral test.

3- Written test: the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)2

This test is not organized by the SAI. Consequently, the applicants must apply directly on the website http://www.mba.comTo send their scores directly to the SAI, applicants can:

- Click on « take the gmat » tab on the homepage- then search the « the essentials/Gmat scores and reports/selecting your score-reports recipients » rubric,- click on « find your Gmat programs » link- then click on the « University/School » field and fill in « service des admissions internationales » or use the SAI code: D14-M2-03

The original GMAT score must be received by the SAI no later than 1st February 2011. No score will be accepted after this date.Since putting on-line GMAT results can take up to 20 days, the candidate must thus ensure to take the GMAT before and to mention the SAI code when applying (D14-M2-03) and to take the test on 12 January 2011 at the latest. The candidate is responsible for sending his score. If it is sent to another institution, the candidate must make sure to contact this institution and to forward it to the SAI.

No test taken after this date will be accepted. When applying for the SAI Competitive Winter Selection, the candidate will not be allowed to save a GMAT date later than 12 January 2011.

Competitive Selection rules – Winter session

Only GMAT scores of 2009, 2010 and 2011 will be taken into consideration. Copies and non-official scores (test taker copy) will not be accepted by the SAI.

4- The oral test

Applicants who are successful in the written test are invited to take an interview in the examination centre they have chosen when applying. The interview will take place between mid-February and the end of February.

The interview lasts about 30 minutes and is in French or in English depending on the applicants’ choice. The interview committee is composed of alumni and representatives of the SAI member schools. The committee evaluates candidates’ profile, potential and ability for an international management career.

When taking the oral test, applicants must ensure to have a valid ID with them and to bring 3 copies of a one-page resume.

Admissibility and Admission

Admissibility is pronounced at the beginning of February by the Evaluation Committee of the SAI member schools based on the results obtained by applicants at their written test. The list of admissible candidates is then published on the website of the schools.

Admission is pronounced at the beginning of March, after the oral tests. The Admission Committee of each school draws the list of admitted candidates. The candidates can be admitted in one or several schools.Committee decisions are definitive and sovereign. The list of admitted candidates is then published on the website of each SAI member schools.

Communication of results and complaints

The result at the oral test can be communicated on e-mail request to the SAI and after the admission has been pronounced by the Admission Committee of each SAI member school.

The Admission Committee being sovereign, all complaints will be accepted only on issues of transferred mark. Consequently, all requests about re-examination of results obtained will not be received by the SAI.

Agreement about the competitive selection rules

When applying to the Grande Ecole Master in Management program of the SAI member schools, candidates give up the right to apply to the same program trough another admission procedure.

When applying to the SAI applicants agree to respect all the rules contained in this document.

ANNEX 1

MANDATORY DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED BEFORE THE APPLICATION CLOSING DATEThe documents below must be sent by express mail

Online validation of your application is mandatory before sending the official documents below

All your official documents must be truly certified by Embassies, Consulates, notaries, official translators, universities…

Mere photocopies of official documents will not be accepted and will be returned to you, therefore delaying the study of your application.

All candidates are responsible for sending their official mandatory documents in due time. They should ensure that they have been correctly received by the SAI.

A document proving your identity translated into French or English: original birth certificate or a true certified copy of your identity card or a true certified copy of your passport

A certified true copy of your university degree certificate together with a certified translation into French or EnglishOR A certified true copy of your certificate of attendance together with a certified translation into French or English if this is your last year of study before obtaining a recognized degree

Your official transcripts or certified true copies of your university grade sheets obtained, translated into French or English

Your official GMAT score. Copies and non official scores (test taker copy) will not be taken into account. Only “School copies” are valid

A one-page resume compulsory including a passport photograph

Two recommendation letters written on your behalf by two of your professors. The letters should analyse in detail your academic achievements

One passport photograph (Full-Face) with your last name and first name on the back

The single page "Enrollment Fees", duly completed and signed together with the enrollment fees of €175. Please attach the transfer voucher in the case of a bank transfer
