Cori has headed up the Little Miss Orchard Days pageants for the past several years. She organizes all aspects from registration to final pageant judging and beyond, mentoring the girls through all pageant preparation, service projects, and parent information night. She makes sure that each contestant feels like a winner, even if they don't go home with a title. When the pageant is over she organizes the winners and coordinates with the Orchard Days Rodeo for the ride-through on rodeo night in addition to organizing the pageant winner parade entry during Orchard Days. Her countless hours of unpaid service are a stressful joy in her life. Cori is a wife and mom of 3 busy kids and in her spare time serves as a volunteer EMT and lieutenant for the Santaquin Fire Dept.

Congratulations Cori!

Friends & Neighbors,

Summer is finally here. Kim and I want to wish you and your family a wonderful summer. It is an ideal time of year when we can begin planting and making our yards and gardens blossom. What a beautiful part of the world we call home.

It is also the time of year when city projects are fully underway. After such a wet spring, it is nice to enjoy the warmer weather where greater progress can be made on our many projects. From road projects such as the extension of Summit Ridge Parkway, construction of 500 West behind Santaquin Elementary School and the widening of 300 West, to water projects such as the

completion of a new Booster Pump Station and construction of a new East Bench Irrigation Tank, many projects are making great progress. The Soccer Field Park by Summit Ridge is also fully under construction along with the development of conceptual plans for a new Recreation/Aquatics Center, which we hope to have on the November, 2019 Ballot. We are also excited to have received the site plans and architectural plans, which are currently under review, for a New Grocery Store on a 32-Acre commercial development along Main Street and I-15. Great things are happening in Santaquin! I am so thankful for our exceptional city council members and city staff that have worked to

bring these projects forward. With a good summer and fall, we should have many of them complete.

I am also pleased by the wonderful turnout we have received by interested citizens who have a love and desire to serve on our City Council. The ten candidates are Kody Curis, Jennifer S Bowman, William Morgan, Lynn Mecham, Jordan G Wood, Michael David Weight, Douglas J Rohbock, Denise Prue Rohbock, David Hathaway, and Jessica Tolman whose picture appears on the left. (Names are in the order as they will appear on the ballot as outlined by the Lt. Governor’s Office.)

I hope you take the opportunity to learn about each and every candidate and that you cast your vote during our Primary Election on August 13th (Ballots will mailed 14-days prior to the election). Remember to register to vote at vote.utah.gov. I would like to wish each of them the best of luck throughout this campaign. It is truly an honor to serve. Until then, have a great summer!
