Note Language: English Version: 4 Validity: Valid Since 28.09.2005

Summary

configuration and equipment configuration from from R/3 to mySAP CRM

Other terms

DIMP, DI46C1, DI46C2, SERIALNUMBER, SERNR_CONFIG, EQUIPMENT, EQUI_CONFIG,

Reason and Prerequisites

o Prequisites

- Serial number and equipment configurations can be downloaded

from DIMP 471 to mySAP CRM 4.0 (minimum support package SP02)

in the form of a knowledge-base object and associated runtime

versions

- Serial numbers and equipments must be downloaded prior to

downloading their associated configuration

- In the SAP standard delivery, changes to serial numbers or

equipments are not automatically downloaded to SAP CRM.

However, a simple solution exists to enable the download of

changes (cf.note 637173)

- Serial numbers and equipments are represented in SAP CRM 4.0 as

individual objects. The SAP default object family is '0401'

(This can be changed in the customizing)

- Serial numbers are not available on mobile clients

- If a serial number or equipment refers to a component within a

same general flow, yet serial numbers are not associated to

installation components nor is a synchronizing message flow

triggered. Note 637173 contains the information to activate the

download of changes to equipments on a project basis. The same

information applies to serial numbers.

The adapter object SERIALNUMBER for downloading serial numbers is

- Recommendation

Maintain the same set of filters for adapter object

SERNR_CONFIG as maintained for its parent object SERIALNUMBER

- Tips and tricks

If you want R/3 to apply filters during the delta download, use

transaction SM30 and maintain view CRMPAROLTP as below:

Parameter name = CRM_FILTERING_ACTIVE

Parameter Name 2 = EQUI_CONFIG

Parameter Name 3 = SERNR_CONFIG (For equipment configuration

download, use EQUI_CONFIG)

User = CRM

Parameter Value = X
