Welcome!

We like it made in America“I want to buy American but...” We hear that frequently at Savor New York. Most of our customers want to support American products, but American made goods can be hard to find amongst all those imports! Relax and know this: when you shop Savor New York you’ll buy only quality New York and American made products.

Savor New York travels from Buffalo to the Bronx and discovers great prod-ucts as diverse as bow ties, kazoos, jigsaw puzzles, and baked beans. Most im-portantly, we meet the people who make them and learn why they do it. All of our products tell the story of someone who puts their heart and soul into making something special, and the people they employ to make it happen. We think that counts for a lot.

Browse our catalog, visit us online, drop by our stores. We like to get to know you, too, and maybe hear you say, “I never knew that was made in New York!”

Savor New York lives by a simple principle: “Where it’s made, matters.”

John McCoyBeekeeperotsego County’s bees have no greater friend than SNY’s favorite apiarist, John McCoy. John has cajoled the most delicious honey from his well-tended bees since 1962, when a junior high school project set him on a sweet path for life. honey is the most nat-ural of products and John keeps it that way with little or no processing.

You can enjoy the glorious result of John’s care and the industrious bee’s business of pollination with SNY’s broad selection of McCoy’s honey. Consider buying in quan-tity because honey can last for years. Just keep the lid on so it cannot draw moisture from the air. if you prefer your honey liquid and flowing, simply heat gently. Available regular or creamed, in a variety of flavors and sizes, including bear shaped squeeze bottles.

The History of Saratoga ChipsDelicious, satisfying, and a great New York story!potato chips were invented in response to a disgruntled diner at the Moon lodge in Saratoga Springs, NY, in 1853.

Chef george Crum grew irritated by a customer’s repeated complaint that his fried potatoes were cut too thickly. his response was to slice the spuds paper thin and throw them in boiling oil. he showered them with salt and presented them. the complaining diner was now delighted and snack history was made.

“Saratoga Chips” became a staple of the Moon lodge, and shortly after Chef Crum left the hotel to sell his creation. Saratoga Specialties has re-introduced his recipe and recreated the original packaging for all to enjoy the original “Saratoga Chip.”

“We’re Raising Boys” “My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, ‘You’re tearing up the grass.’ ‘We’re not raising grass,’ Dad would reply. ‘We’re raising boys.’” This poignant sentiment is shared by fathers, mothers, and sons who ever had a game of catch in the backyard. Savor New York commissioned this work especially for Harmon Killebrew, in appreciation for his generosity. New York native and baseball fan, calligrapher “Marnie” Noonan rendered her interpretation of the memorable quote. It was never intended to be sold. With Nita Kille-brew’s approval, we now offer Harmon’s time-less quotation as an art print and in notecards. Ned MartelleFishhook FramesNed Martelle is an archivist and master framer. He makes his frames from New York trees on and around his farm near Lake Ontario. He tells you the frame’s origin on the back of every piece. Ned catalogs thousands of vintage ads from the golden era of illustration (about 1880-1960) fondly remembered in Life, Liberty, Colliers and many more classic American publications. Professionally trained as a framer, Ned cuts his own mats. For a final touch, he imprints his signature fish hook shape into one of the boards. Ned’s projects are truly one-of-kind. So is Ned.

SNY makes a great gift basket! Our fas-cinating array of products means we can create a gift collection to suit almost any theme, holiday, or occasion. We love to customize, and we ship!

About our baskets...We present our gift collections in American made produce baskets, made in Pennsylvania of New York and Pennsylvania wood. The baskets are strong, lightweight, reusable, and economical. They are available natural, or in a variey of colors, and decorated with Amer- ican-made ribbon. Great American goods belong in a great American basket!

Peterboro BasketsWhen you want to make the basket a bigger part of the gift, we use premium Peterboro Baskets from our friends in New Hampshire. Beautiful and sturdy, these handmade ash wood baskets can last a lifetime.

Holiday Gift BagsHoliday and Special Occasion Gift Bags Make office or corporate gift giving easy! We’ll make your gift bags or boxes festive and sure to please.

APO Appreciation BoxesWe are proud to ship New York and American products to anyone with an APO or FPO address, in the military or foreign service. We will customize a special package from home, take care of the customs form, and add a note of thanks for the recipient’s service to our country.

A Word About Shipping...Just as there is no free lunch, there is no such thing as “free shipping.” Many companies pro-mote it, and it looks like a great deal but, truth be told, it’s really just a sales gimmick. SNY ships tons of products and never once has the Postal Service, UPS, or FedEx said, “This one is on us!” They get paid for their service, as they should.

When you see “Free Shipping” it means the cost of transport has been rolled into the price of the merchandise. Savor New York doesn’t do that. We keep our products fairly priced and we work to keep shipping as economical a possible. We use USPS Flat Rate shippers, and we compare costs among the major carriers to make you sure you get the best deal possible. If you have questions about shipping, please contact us.
