SEMANTIX FIRE AND SAFETY INCORPORATING

VALDO ENGINEERING• Semantix and Valdo engineering have a sound partnership who have been

operating as partners, each contributing various strengths and skills sets.

• Semantix brings about a labour force that have sound project management and

installation experience within the fire protection and detection space, by means of

installation services and maintaining completed projects.

• Valdo Engineering brings about a manufacturing and distribution force both

locally and internationally (across border), industry wide e.g. refinery,

warehousing, corporate etc. from our fully equipped engineering workshop.

SERVICES

Automatic Sprinkler

Protection

We do custom designing fabrication and installing of sprinkler

systems in accordance with the ASIB 10th and 11TH rules,

NFPA, FM Global and SANS regulations.

Automatic sprinkler protection is immediate if maintained and

serviced regularly. This should be serviced by approved and

listed companies.

Fire Detection We supply and install heat & Smoke detection units. Systems

are linked to a fire detection panel to signal an alarm upon rise

in temperature or detection of smoke within a protected area.

An sms will be sent to the relevant parties upon detection.

Conventional Fire fighting

(hydrants, Fire hose reels

and Fire Extinguishers)

We Supply and install Conventional fire fighting Equipment.

All Equipment is SABS approved and installation is done by

SACQC trained personnel.

Special Risks Fire

Protection

We protect conveyor belts, transformers and fuel tanks.

Depending on risk proper consultation will be done to allow

adequate protection from fire.

CONSULTATION

• We deliver Fire Engineering Consultation and Project Management across all

business sectors from major developers to SMME’s;

• Fire Compliance Audits & Surveys according to the National Building Regulations.

• Supply of basic and advanced information and services pertaining to Fire

regulations and Fire Fighting principles and practices.

DESIGN

• We have a team of associate Fire Consulting and Draughting Engineers.

• In collaboration with architects and engineers, we supply fire equipment, fire

detection- and suppression systems for any building, structure or asset::

Design, draughting and printing of any building plan.

Design, draughting and printing of specialized fire plans.

Obtaining of approval from the Local authority.

On-site assistance & consultation during the building phase of structures.

Assisting in obtaining an Occupancy Certificate from the Local Fire Department

• This turnkey service commences with the design of the fire plans, followed by on-

site assistance, equipment and systems installation and ends with the end user /

client’s training and relationship building

the workplace.

• Semantix offers both Accredited and Non-Accredited First Attack Training Courses

which are conducted by our qualified trainers who will ensure your staff are fully

knowledgeable in identifying and operating Fire Extinguishers – this includes

hands-on training.

SPRAY BOOTH

Our ventilated spray

booth is not only

economical on the

painting consumables

but efficient on drying

times of our piping.

Its fitted with an

Extraction system

which lowers the

paint air levels in the

spray booth.

FINISHED PRODUCTS

Quality inspection on our

painting during drying. The

piping is dried over 4 hours

and signed off for delivery. All

paints used are SABS

approved and QD paints.
