Dear Parents,

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and that you are all keeping safe and well.

This is the last week of school and so the last week of home schooling for children and Parents. I would like to thank all the boys and girls for their hard work and making such a fantastic effort to get the school work completed. You should all be very proud of yourselves for the dedication and commitment in such difficult times. It is very unusual saying goodbye to a class via email and secondly a class I have never met. I will get to know you all next year when you are in First class and look forward to meeting you .

To the Parents who have all been put in a strange, difficult role in the last number of months. I want to say Thank you so much for guiding all your children with the school work. It wouldn’t have been possible without your own commitment and dedication. We are so grateful for your help over the past while.

I want to wish everyone a very ‘Happy Summer’ and I hope you all get to relax and enjoy some holiday time.

The school is asking all parents to return any guided reading books/PM Readers or folders that your child was given the day school closed or before. Books/Folders can be returned on this Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd June, between 9.30am and 4.30pm.. Books can be left on a desk in the Senior infant classroom.

I am sending some suggested work for the week ahead. Please don’t feel under pressure to complete it.

I have divided the work over four days, if you so wish you can complete it over five days.

There is no obligation to finish it all, pick and choose what suits you and your current family life/situation.

Please contact me if you have any questions or queries. If you wish to share some of your child’s work with me, please send it via email to [email protected]

Kind regards and the very best for a lovely Summer,

Maria Rynne
