Term 3 ends: Friday 27.09.2019 Term 4 begins: Monday 14.10.2019 September 2019 Friendship Express www.arncliffew-p.schools.nsw.edu.au Our visits to Camden Farm this month have been the highlight of the term. It was beautiful to be in the country and see all the baby farm animals. We had some really warm days for our visits and the kids loved running around in the paddocks. Pictures p5,6&7. Our friends from Athelstane have been coming to visit with our Year 2 students in preparation for their transition to Year 3. The Year 5 Athelstane students, some of whom are ex-AWIS students, have been buddying up with our Year 2’s, reading books and forming friendships that will support them next year. Pics p8&9 This year the weather was perfect for our Sports Carnival at Arncliffe Park. It was great to see so many supporters enjoying the sunshine and cheering on our students. The students got their competi- tive juices flowing and put in a great effort. Pics p10&11 Kindifarm was cancelled this month due to wet weather. The new dates are for Jellybeans Tuesday 15.10.19 and Rainbows Friday 18.10.19 Year 2 have been exploring fractions using fairy bread. Teachers are certainly living up to that line in our school song our teachers always do their best to make our learning fun”. There was no fairy bread in class when I was at school! Pics on p12 Please ensure that students come to school in uniform Monday to Thursday. Mufti is only allowed on Fridays or special days. If you dont have uniform please substitute with something blue or ask at the office to borrow an item from the clothing pool. Dangling jewellery is very dangerous when children are playing on climbing equipment. These items are unsuitable for school and will be removed and sent home.
