NoticeOur Breakfast trial period that began April 1st has now ended. The survey revealed that it was not an amenity well used. So we have decided to not continue the Breakfast offerings. We will begin a new 4-month trial of serving Brunches. With that said, our first Brunch will be on September 19th serving from 11:00 to 2:00.
Buffet to Include: Collard Greens, Mac-N-Cheese, Rutabagas, White Rice, Fried Chicken, Pork Chops with Gravy, Fried Shrimp, Desserts, Rolls, Sausage, Grits, Eggs and Biscuits for $19.95 ++

MAKING RESERVATIONS IS REQUIRED FOR ALL NIGHTLY DINING. Walk-ins are not turned away, however; there may be longer wait times. If tables are not set up, they can not be used!

Honor/Memory Walk
The recent hot, rainy, sultry weather seems to have gotten the best of the women golfers. Fortunately, a few fearless women refuse to let the heat take away the opportunity to play some golf.
On July 21, we found the ladies playing an individual match play competition. Kudos go to Sylvia Day who beat the course in only 10 holes. Hey Sylvia, when do you hit the Senior Women’s Tour?
July 28 the ladies fought for bragging on who could nail the lowest total score on par 4 holes. Dorie Richter won hands down on the front 9 with twenty strokes. The back 9 ended in a four-way tie, counting strokes on par 3 holes with a score of 8 between Liz Dyer, Coley Hodges, Lourdes White, and Carolyn Sullivan-Strickland . . . and a lot of fun was had!
August 18 the women competed in a putting extravaganza . . . 3 points for a 1 putt, 2 points for a 2 putt, 1 point for a 3 putt and 5 for a chip in . . . Coley Hodges out-putted everyone to take home the prize money.

Beginning August 3rd. Sign up in Pro Shop.
Join us at 9:00 AM Tuesday and Thursdays. Just show up at 8:30 and Ryan organizes the game and teams, usually 12-18 players. Bill Taylor shoots in 70s, many of us in 90s and everybody wins. Bill Wall and Kevin Dennehy are leading money winners, Dik Roy leads in rounds played at 53 and all enjoy fellowship. Welcome new members Tom Peele and Jeff Steffania. Cooler weather arrives this month. Members interested in joining us or have any questions should contact John Stallings at [email protected].
Senior Men's Golf News
Pro Shop News From the WYCC DocksGreetings from the Commodores boat! Well, weather did not cooperate for the pool party, but hopefully will work with us on our upcoming events. Keep an eye out for the WYC evites for more details.
September 18 - Low Country Boil. We will provide food for the boil, but welcome side dishes and desserts. We are also asking members to provide school supplies to be donated to a local deserving school.
October 9 - There will be an overnight raft up. Please contact P.O. Holloman if you are interested.
October 23 - Oktoberfest, WYC will provide brats and buns and welcome side dishes and desserts.
November 6 - WYC Bridge elections and Chili cookoff to be held in the Upper Deck. Cash bar will be available. So, bring your best Chili and see how it compares. Good Luck.
December 4 - Washington Christmas Parade and Change of the Watch dinner will be that night.
December 18 - Hot Cider & Cocoa along with dock walk and vote for decorated boat showing the best Christmas Spirit.
Please take a look at the WYCC website and click on the WYC link for a list of these events as well. We look forward to seeing you at these events. If there is anyone interested in running for a Bridge position please let us know.
Please keep an eye on the weather and if you have any questions contact Dock Master Earnie Glover (252) 402-5153. Continue to keep a close eye on your dock lines and safety equipment so you are prepared. As always, stay safe out there and be courteous to others. – Commodore Jim Harris.
