    Your child's safety is important to us. HTA is working with Star

    Protection Agency to help us ensure your child's safety while they

    attend classes at the Oahu Learning Center. Please read the following

    for revised procedures regarding entering/exiting the LC as well as

    student ID card distribution. This will be effective starting Wednesday,9/8.

    Procedures to enter/exit the LC:1. Your child will be expected to show their HTA

    student ID card to the guard at the front desk uponentering and exiting the LC. Guard will scan the card

    each time.

    2. Your child will need to wear their ID card at all

    times; teachers will be scanning cards for class

    attendance.

    3. All adults will be required to present a picture ID,

    sign in, and obtain a visitor's badge upon entering the

    building.

    *Visitors will be required to sign in with the guard.Please be sure to schedule appointments with

    teachers/staff/administration in advance.

    Student ID Card Distribution:1. Upon attending their regularly scheduled classes,

    students will pick up their ID cards beginning on

    Wednesday 9/1.

    2. The security guard will be issuing them at the

    downstairs front desk.

    3. Grades K - 4, the parent/learning coach must signfor the ID card.

    4. Grades 5 - 12, the student can sign for their ID

    card.

    *Replacement fee for lost ID card - $5Students that have not taken their ID/Yearbook

    picture, must come to the LC on October 18 from 9 - 12

    to take their picture. Your new card will be issued

    within 2 - 3 weeks after this date.

    For these students who have not yet received officialID cards, you will be issued a temporary student ID

    card to wear while you are at the LC. You will be

    required to turn in your card at the end of the day

    before leaving.

    ** Please note that downstairs will be reserved as astudy hall for our students only.

    The Oahu learningcenter is surrounded by

    many businesses. Thesebusinesses are a part ofour community anddeserve our respect.Please be mindful ofwhere you are parking.Parking in these

    businesses spaces is notpermitted. Please usestreet side parking orchurch parking. In

    addition, please reframefrom using HFECparking spaces. We will

    be allotting these HFECspaces to HTA teachersand staff. Thank you foryour continuedcooperation.

    The Military Police at the main gate will ask for the following:

    1 - Valid government issue identification (another name for driver's license)

    2 - Valid vehicle insurance

    3 - Valid safety check

    When any of our students/Families show up at the main gate this is how it shouldproceed:

    1 - Driver will be asked for the documents as listed above

    2 - Let the MP know that they are with Hawaii Technology Academy and mention Darcy

    Fiero as the point of contact if necessary

    The gates open at nine but the Blue Angels don't usually go up until around 2:00 or3:00.
