The functions of the Committee are as follows: -
i) To advise and recommend placement of students and staff for practical training in industry.
U) To assess and recommend the nature of new caurse to be started at the Institutions after studying the felt need of industry in the region served by the Institution.
iii) To advise and recommend programmes of sandwicl) based course in collaboration with industry.
iv) To advise and guide the institution in matters relating to specific arrsngments for placement and followup of students. for gainful occupation after completing the courses.
v) To solicit and recommend services of executives working in industry for part time teaching.
vi) To soliclt and recommend problems from ~ industry and research, design, development and consultancy work.
vii) To examine and review the programmes offered by the Institution with It view, to assessing their efficacy and usefulness.
vlii) To il.dvise and guide the institution in matters relating to the instructional facilities, hostel facilities and recreational facilities.
ix) To recommend suitable measures for further im~ proving the fun~tioning of the institution.
x) To perfonn such other functions as may be assigned by the Council of Teclmical Education industry Liason Board or the Department of Technical Education.
Rules of Business:-
i) The Committee ShaJJ. meet at le~twice ~ year and may meet such other tim"" as .. meeting thereof is convened by the Member Secx:etary. However, the Committee will be entitled to take decision on matters through correspondence and on ordinary matters the Chairman may take a decision pending the formal .~pproval of the Committee in the subsequent meeting.
ii) Four members shall form a quorum. for a meeting of the Committee .
. iii) :Nominsted members of the Committee shall hold office for a period during which the tenure of the Committee

Therefore the GOvernn:1ent is pleased to notify ,under sub-section (1) of Section 4: of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (heI:einafter:' referred to ,as the "said ,Act") that the said land is likely to, be needed for the purpose specified above.
4. The Government is further pleased to appoint under -clause (c) of'_Section",3 of. the. said Act the Deputy Collector, Goa South Division, Margao Goa to perform the functions of a Collector under the said Act in respect of the said .land.
2. All . persons iriterested in the said land are hereby warned not to obstruct or interfere with any· surveyor or other persons -~mploye~ upon_ the said,: land for the purpose of the said acquisition. AI1.y contracts for the disposal of the said land by sale, _mortgage. as~ignment. exchange~ or :otherwise; or any outlay 'commenced or bnprove~ents m~de thereon without the sanction of the Collector appointed in para~ graph 4' below, after the date of. ,the publication of- this Notification, will under clause (seventh)' of Section 24 of the said Act, be disregarded by him while assessing compen~ sation for such parts of the said land as may be finally acquired.
5. The Government is also pleased to authorise under sub~ ':section (2) of Section (4) of the_ said Act, the following officers to do the acts, specified therein in respect of the said land;

2. The Deputy Collector, Goa South Division, Margao Goa.
3. The Executive Engineer, Works DiviSion I B & C South Fatorda, Margao Goa.

Whereas by' Government Notification No. RD/LQN/2/79 dated '22:"1:"1979 published on page 518-519 of Series II, No. 46 of -the Official Gazette, dated' 8-2-1979 it was notified under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act. 1894 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act") that the land, specified in the schedule ,appended to the said Notification (hereinafter refeITed to as the "said land") was likely to be needed for the public purpose viz. for construction of School building at Umbra, Salvador do Mundo.

Whereas it appears to the Appropriate CNvernnlent (hereinafter referred to as "the Government") that the land specified in the schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the "said land") is likely to be needed for public. purpose viz. for construction of one room Government Primary School building at Savoi-Verem, Ponda.
Therefore the Government is pleased to notify under sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (hereinafter referred to as the "said Act") that the said land is likely to be needed -for the purpose specified above.
2. All persons interested in the said land are hereby ~arned not to obstruct or interfere with any surveyor or other _ persons_ employed upon the said land for the purpose of the said acquisition. Any contracts for the disposal of the- said land by sale, mortgage, assignment, ,exchange or otherwise, or any outlay commenced or improvements made thereon without the sanction of the Collector appointed in paragraph 4 below, after the date of the publication 'of this- Notification, will under clause (seventh) of Section 24 of the said Act, be disregarded by him while assessing compensa4 tion for such parts of the said land as may be finally acquired.
3. If the Government is satisfied that the said land- is needed for the aforesaid purpose, a declaration to that effect under Section 6 of the said Act will be published in the Official Gazette, in due course. If the acquisition is abandoned wholly or in part, the fact will be notified.
4. The Government is further pleased to' appoint under clause (c) of Section 3 of the said Act_ the Deputy Collector, Goa SOuth Division, Margao to perform. the functions of a Collector under the said Act in respect of the said land.
5. The Government is also pleased to authorise under sub-section (2) of Section (4) of the said Act, the following officers to do the acts, specified therein in respect of the said land.
1.- The Collector of Goa.. Panaji.
2. The Deputy Collector, Goa South Division, Margao.
3. The Director of Education, Panaji.
4. The Director of Land Survey, Panaji.
