a) Managing Committee shall consist of not less ,than Iiine and not more' than 13 members.

a) "Society" or "Mahamandal" means ·the BHARTIY VIKASMAHAMANDAL.

b) Managing Committee means . the body which . according to rule No.5 following hereinafter, shall

exerc:ise full powers on behalf of the Society.

b) The Managing Committee so constituted shall elect among the. members a President, the Vice-President,' one

. Secretary, 1 Joint Secretary,. a Treasurer and ~. inembers~

c) "General Body" means the .General Body of the 'member of the. BHARTIY ViKAS MAHAMANDAL~

d) . SECRETARY means Secretary of the SoCiety.

e) The Trustees or the 'Board of Trustees' means the. Trustees of. the Trust, if any created by the society as per the Rules hereinafter framed;

f) Elected' members· means members elected by the '. General Body of the Society to ·be· the members of

the Managing Committee of the Society.

2 .. MEMBERSHIP a) Membership of the Society shall be open to any indi­

Vidual above the age of 21 years who is elected as a member by the Managing Committee of· the Society on being duly proposed by two existing members and who pays on his admission, an entrance fee of rupees one and either .a .contri­bution of annual instalment of contribution of annual or monthly subscription,' as the case may 'be, as mentioned below against the respective class of membership shown below .. The contribution, if' paid in lumpsumor annual .filstalment of rcontribution30thApril of· the respective year for which it is due. The monthly subscription shall be due arid payable by 15th of the respective month for whiGh it is due.

b) Class of members:

There shall be the following . classes of members:

1. Patron8: Those who pay a contribution of Rs. 10,000/. or above in' one lumpsum or in five equal yearly instalments within a period 'of five years.

2 .. Beneteator8: Those Who pay a contribution of more than Rs; 5,000/-. and less than Rs. 10,000/-· in one lumpsum or in five equal yearly inStalments within a period of the five years; .

3; Lite Member8: Thqse who pay' a contributiqn of· more than Rs.500/-and less thanRs. 1,OOO/~ in one lumpsum or on five equal instalments within a period of five years.'

4. Primary' Member8:'Thos'e ,wlio. pay a subscription of Rs. 24/- per annum or RS.'2/- per month every year during their membership. . :

C. TERMINATlON .

1. A member shall cease to be such on his resignatiOn .being accepted by the Managing .Committee. ' .

2. Membership· of any member, any'for a.good~d sufficient cause, be terminated by the Managing Committee.

3. Non paymellt . of contribution, annual instalment of contribution .or annual or monthly subscription dues;. no .person shall be entitled to vote or be counted as a membet:­ship whose subscription at the time shall have been in arrears for a period exceeding four months.

. 3. Sympdthi8er8: Individuals, firms' or corporation or Associations sympa~hisers ¥Vith the 'objects of the society may get enrolled as. sympathisers 'by: contributing a' sum. of not less than Rs. 10/- every year~ . Such sympathisers' shall not have any right to' vote in any meeting of the members ot Socie.ty. ' .

4. AUTHORITIES OF THE SOCIETY

.Following shall be authorities of the Society. 1) Generai Body 2) Managing Committee

. c) The' General Body shall annually eiect, the 'elected' members' of the Managing Com~ittee.

d) Any vacancy in. th~' managing committee otherwise than by expiry of the term shall be filled up by the Managing .Committee as soon as convenient by co-option from among members of the Society. Such !co-option memo bers shall be :deemed to be 'elected' members and shall remain iri. of~ice till the next .·election.

e) The election of the Manaitng Committee shali be either by show of hands or by ballot as the President· may decide. . .

6. The Generai Body of th~ Society shall consist of: ill the existing members who have paid their respective dues of membership and also ar~ not in' arrears to . the Socie~y in respect of their contribution, instalment· of contribution and annual or monthly subscription. .

7. 'Power of the' Managing Committee

A) To' acquire and own, by purehaseotherwise land and buildings, and immovable properties to construct buildings, to lease 'on rent bUildings, to sell flats, land, with no profit and loss, a land other immovable properties, to acquire by purchase or otherwise machines, instruments, and; tools, books, furnitures; educational materiais and other mova.bIe assets to hire same. .

B) To receive and, Gollect and gifts, subscriptionS and donations either in case. or in kind or acquire' by way any other l!'Lwful ways and means and spent. the fulfillment of all or any of the rums ob~ects of th~ Society.

D) To invest money in urban bari1{s, scheduled banks; nationalised banks on fixed· deposits, in Government securi.; ties, national savings certficates and to securitiesa.nd to transport or realise from time to time; ..

E)' To open and operates Bank accounts or Bank' acCOunt iil any Co~operative, scheduled or nationalised banks in the name of the Society, which shall' alw:;LYs be operated by

8~ Busr~~ess~of the General'Body and the Managing Committee.

The' Annual G~neral Meeting of the SoCiety shall be held on stich date and at such: time and place as may be deter., mined by the' President. At such Annual General Meeting, the Managing Committee shalf submit the draftl?ofth~ Abnual Report and . the yearly accounts of the' .Society.Tlie same shall thereafter be adopted and passed by the General BQdY With such variations as the General Body with such variations as the General Body shall deem proper.

9. An extra-ordinary general. meeting of the'SoCietybe convened' by the Managing Committee' of its own accord
