EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGEIt’s my honor to share the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation (CKFF) Community Impact Report with you. We thank those who’ve been with us for the ongoing support, and welcome those who’ve joined us this past year.

As CKFF grows and we continue to expand our shared mission to honor GOD, Country and Families who serve, we focus on programming that strengthens and supports military and first responder couples. In Serving Those Who Serve Us, we are paving the way and changing the world for this generation and the next. We’ve significantly increased the impact that CKFF’s programs have had on our military and first responder couples across America and have served over 1,800 individuals since our launch in 2015. As you see in this report, the work of our team is having a world-changing impact.

In the final two quarters of 2017, CKFF was able to bolster its programs to serve military and first responder couples with pilot programs, designed in collaborations with prominent Schools of Social Work from two Texas universities to meet the unique needs of service marriages.

With the assistance of the Moody Foundation and USAA, CKFF was able to implement the Mastering Your Marriage program.

That momentum has continued into 2018. Thus far in 2018, we are getting ready to launch our second cohort of Mastering Your Marriage. We are also on track for our second Empowered Spouses Retreat which allows us to double the amount of marriages this program is able to help. Our Revitalization Retreat and Date Night Out programs have grown exponentially and as they continue to expand, they allow CKFF to impact even more families.

CKFF PROGRAMSChris Kyle left a legacy that Taya continues to pursue in helping military and first responder marriages. At the heart and soul of CKFF’s mission are programs designed to support the marriages and families of our country’s military and first responder communities. If the men and women we depend on have strong, healthy and supported marriages, they can thrive while encountering the stressors that come from living a life of service. While CKFF has helped over 1,800 individuals since its launch in 2015, this is only a small percentage of the large community it serves. CKFF serves the military and first responder communities with the following programs:

MASTERING YOUR MARRIAGEService marriages are unique, and no one knows that better than our military and first responder couples. If service marriages are going to succeed, they need marriage curriculum that is equally unique. To support this, CKFF partnered with the University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work and the Baylor University Diana R. Garland School of Social Work to launch Mastering Your Marriage (MYM) in 2017.

MYM delivers research-based curriculum in three distinct phases to service couples. MYM topics teach marriage skills to address specific challenges military and first responder communities face. MYM also includes a track that educates and certifies local community providers with the skills needed to better serve military and first responder couples. By investing in both the family and the community, CKFF and its university partners aim to bring lasting, self-sustaining change to entire communities.

In 2017, MYM impacted over 162 individuals and plans to increase this number with a second cohort of MYM that will be launched in September 2018.

MASTERING YOUR MARRIAGEPHASE ONE Orientation Retreat At MYM Orientation, couples join the CKFF team and university partners to explore the challenges that are unique to a service marriage with MYM coaches as well as other couples committed to thriving in a service environment.

PHASE TWO Marriage Enrichment Through monthly web-based curriculum, couples continue to learn new skills that promote diving deep and learning more about how to thrive in a service marriage. This phase also includes ongoing contact with the CKFF and university coaches.

PHASE THREE Capstone Connection A Capstone Connection event reconnects couples with the CKFF team, the university coaches, and their community of fellow service couples, to celebrate and honor their joyful and thriving marriages.

EMPOWERED SPOUSES RETREATSpouses serve in their own way - through support of the service member, dedication to their life together and frequent sacrifices of not having their family during holidays and celebrations. CKFF created Empowered Spouses Retreat (ESR) to bring the spouses of service members together to promote a sense of community, recognition and empowerment. Since the program's launch in 2015, CKFF has impacted 232 individuals through ESR.

DESIGNED TO BOLSTER CONFIDENCE AND BUILD RESILIENCE, ESR:› Challenges spouses to step outside their comfort zone

› Encourages new physical and mental skills

› Connects spouses with a like-minded community of peers

› Provide facilitated discussion that are delivered by a Licensed ProfessionalCounselor (LPC) who is also a serving spouse

REVITALIZATION RETREATS

CKFF’s Revitalization Retreats (RR) were inspired by Chris and Taya’s own experience of being gifted a weekend away to reconnect. Military and first responder couples are nominated across the country to reconnect, re-engage and recharge through this program. Since the program's launch in 2015, CKFF has impacted 498 individuals through Revitalization Retreats . However, the 498 individuals only represent 15% of the nominations received. We need your help to increase this number.

Selected couples are welcomed to the CKFF family by their CKFF Concierge who will plan each aspect of the RR with the couple’s input and feedback.

REVITALIZATION RETREATS INCLUDE:› All expenses paid weekend away for the selected service couple

› Support with child and elder care for family members at home

› 5 sessions from the StrengthsFinder certified coach before and after theRevitalization Retreats

DATE NIGHT OUTMilitary and first responder members dedicate their lives to serving others. With the stressors they face on a daily basis through their jobs, it can—and in most cases, does—translate to the family home.

Date Night Out was launched to encourage service couples to stop, take time out and let someone else serve them for the night.

CKFF’s Date Night Outs have seen couples attend bowling events, NHRA Drag Racing, NBA, MLB, and hockey games. It is a program that, for some couples, provides a gateway to discuss the pressure on their marriage as a result of service, and an introduction to broader CKFF programs.

Since the program's launch in 2015, CKFF has served over 1,000 individuals through our DNO program, with plans to significantly increase this program in 2018 and beyond.
