    Compensation Sought: The appellant prays for compensation as per clause in Sec 19(8)* of

    the RTI Act to the detriment suffered because of prolonged denial of information

    Brief facts leading to the appeal:The appellant ,an honest citizen of India sought information under RTI dated 2.08.2013( A1)pertaining to denial/forefeiture of Provident Fund (own contribution) on behalf of NIACL and the

    officials involved in prolonged denial of P F. The NIACL CPIO submitted a rhetorically drafted

    annexure suppressing the desired information .The appellant, vide appeal dt.30.09.2013

    requested disclosure of information to FAA . However, the said Renjeet

    Gangadharn who abused needless public money by air travel to CIC on 20th

    May 2013 instead

    of attending prescribed mode video conference from Mumbai tried to justify the reply of CPIO

    Prayer or Relief sought: 1. The information pertains to Right to Life of the applicant, who suffers

    as he does not compromise with dishonesty. kindly order for immediate disclosure of information.2. That obstruction to information be viewed seriously and responsible official be penalized under

    Section 20 (10) of the Act.

    Compensation Sought: The appellant prays for compensation as per clause in Sec 19(8)* of

    the RTI Act related to the detriment suffered since long denial of information.

    Grounds for the Prayer or Relief: 1.The RTI officials of the public authority argue like advocates

    instead of application of mind.2. There is no attempt to ensure humanitarian disclosure of information either by CIPO or FAA

    Incomplete and mischievous reply of insurance company CPIO under CPI

    cell/HO/2013-14/189 dated 03.09.2013*

    Appeal:

    The CPIO ,NIACL furnished an evasive, distorted and mischievousreply consisting of two pages.

    The applicant submits that he has been denied of his own Provident

    Fund which amounts to forefeiture of his provident fund.

    The Head Office of the insurance company is bound to supply a

    speaking order to justify denial /forefeiture of the provident fund(own contribution ) of the applicant.The appellant has never authorized any NIACL official to deduct from

    his Provident Fund a single rupee without his explicit consent.

    The CPIO,be ordered to supply the complete,correct and transparent

    information of denial /forefeiture/deduction of provident fund of theapplicant including the details of officials responsible for illegal and

    inhuman act.

    That all information is essential to right to life of a hapeless citizen of India,

    The cumulative effect is that those employees get relief who gratify the greed

    of corrupt officials and the innocent ones suffer for years like the applicant

    whisle- blower victimized on the charge of leaving HQ in retaliation of his

    commitment for honesty and transparency in publif life as an RTI applicant.
