Most of you would be working in the corporate sector for the first time for a limited period of two months. Summer training, as you know provides an opportunity to you to have first hand practical exposure and relate the conceptual and analytical skills acquired in the classrooms to actual managerial practice. Moreover, you will work in real company and on real projects, dealing with stresses of deadlines, demanding bosses, and besides, with the pressure of reporting to work on time. During your training period, your behavior should be excellent and you should sincerely devote your time and energy to the project assigned to you. You will get a look at the real world, corporate style, while companies will have the opportunity of observing potential employees. They will watch you and probably hire you next year. You should work within the framework of the cultural fabric of the company where you are going for training. On completion of your ST – Please bring the following documents : a) Two annual reports (of last two years) of the company in which you are working. b) Your certificate of summer training. c) Two addresses of HRD/Marketing head of your company, their telephone/fax numbers are also required including e-mail. d) You should bring a complete summer training project report. e) Any other published material of the company. Please deposit (a), (b), (c) and (e) documents with Mr. Naresh Wadhwa, Asst. Placement Officer and (d) with Prof. Megha Chandiok, Programme Coordinator (FT) and Dr. Pankaj Varshney, Programme Coordinator - Finance. You have been assigned Summer Training in a particular company. Please do not change the company without prior consultation with the company and Placement Cell of the Institute . Please also be in touch with faculty of the Institute for necessary guidance in formulation and preparation of your summer training project. On completion and presentation of your summer training project and the feedback received from the company, your project report will be evaluated and quantified by the faculty of the Institute and marks assigned. The marks assigned to you would be shown in your marksheet. Moreover, best summer project would be awarded a Gold Medal and a Certificate of Merit. We would like to mention here that our record shows that where our students have done good summer training projects and have behaved well, the companies have visited the campus and recruited students for their management cadre. You are therefore going to be a representative of the Institute for creating an
