GSD MEMORIAL TREE PROGRAM Sign up Form

A Memorial Tree is a great way for businesses, the public, or agencies tocommemorate a loved one, employee, or a special event.

By enrolling in this program, your gift will be used to purchase a tree to be planted on the Capitol Complex campus. Trees will be cared for by the General Services Landscaping crew.

How it works: GSD Landscape crew will help choose a location. Choose a desired Tree species from list provided.Choose wording on plaque. Plaque size is 3"x 5" placed on a metal post. You can choose a different plaque at an additional cost.

The General Services Landscape crew will then find a site to plant the tree and will care for the tree as it matures.

Desired Species List

Deciduous Trees will be approximately 2”-3" in diameter and conifer trees will be 6’ tall.

Trees can be purchased any time; however,planting will only take place in the spring or fall.

Procedure and Policies

Once planted, a picture of the tree along with a map

showing the location of the tree will be mailed to

you or the person of your choosing.

The location of your tree will be kept in a Tree

Memorial database.

Decorations are not to be placed on any living

tribute trees.

No unspecified marker or plaques are allowed.

Cremains are not allowed to be placed as part of

a memorial tree.
