Formula Salford - The event

Silverstone EventDue to it being our rst year, the team competed in Class 2. This means that we competed in the static events: - Design Event - Cost Event - Business Presentation Event

These static events are designed for teams to compete without a functioning car.

Each pEach presentation consists of a presentation, followed by a question and answer session/discussion with the judges. These components are then marked and ranked against other teams.

Our TeamFrom our team we slimmed down to a Silverstone team, this consisted of 6 members - 2 of which could not attend the event but did importantground work and were a great asset to the team.

We took 4 members to Silverstone in order to compete in the 3 events, stretching our resources in order to compete to the best of our ability.

Our CompetitionMMany teams compete for two years at Class 2 level before bringing their Class 1 car to Silverstone, this allows for foundation work to be done in design and manufacturing. Many teams we ranked against are competing for their second years and beyond at a class 2 level.

Top universities teams such as Bath Racing, have a class 1 team and a class 2 team at the event in order to improve their team capability.
