Six marriages are set before you. Which will you follow as an example for your marriage?

    Or

By which of the following is your marriage characterized

Adam & Eve 6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for

food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining

wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her

husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7Then the eyes of

    both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked;

so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for

    themselves. Gen 3

Abraham & Sarah 1 Now Abraham moved on from there into the region of

the Negev and lived between Kadesh and Shur. For a while

he stayed in Gerar, 2 and there Abraham said of his wife

Sarah, "She is my sister." Then Abimelech king of Gerar

sent for Sarah and took her.

3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream one night and

said to him, "You are as good as dead because of the

woman you have taken; she is a married woman."

4 Now Abimelech had not gone near her, so he said, "Lord,

will you destroy an innocent nation? 5 Did he not say to

me, 'She is my sister,' and didn't she also say, 'He is mybrother'? I have done this with a clear conscience andclean hands." Gen 20

Ahab & Jezebel 4(D)So Ahab came into his house sullen and vexed because

of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken tohim; for he said, "I will not give you the inheritance of my

fathers." And he lay down on his bed and turned away hisface and ate no food.

5But Jezebel his wife came to him and said to him, "How is

it that your spirit is so sullen that you are not eating food?"

6So he said to her, "Because I spoke to Naboth the

Jezreelite and said to him, 'Give me your vineyard formoney; or else, if it pleases you, I will give you a vineyard

in its place.' But he said, 'I will not give you my vineyard.'"

7Jezebel his wife said to him, "(E)Do you now reign over

Israel? Arise, eat bread, and let your heart be joyful; I willgive you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite."

8(F)So she wrote letters in Ahab's name and sealed them

with his seal, and sent letters to (G)the elders and to thenobles who were living with Naboth in his city.

    9Now she wrote in the letters, saying, "Proclaim a fast andseat Naboth at the head of the people;

10and seat two (H)worthless men before him, and let them

testify against him, saying, '(I)You cursed God and the king' Then take him out and (J)stone him to death." 1Kings 21

Job & His wife 9Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast your

    integrity? Curse God and die!"

10But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolishwomen speaks. (G)Shall we indeed accept good from God

and not accept adversity?" (H)In all this Job did not sin withhis lips. Job 2.

Ananias & Sapphira 1Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife

Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. 2With his wife's full

knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but

brought the rest and put it at the apostles' feet.

3Then Peter said, "Ananias, how is it that Satan has so

filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit andhave kept for yourself some of the money you received for

    the land? Acts 5.

Aquila & Priscilla 24Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came

to Ephesus. He was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge

of the Scriptures. 25He had been instructed in the way of the

Lord, and he spoke with great fervor[b] and taught about Jesusaccurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. 26He

began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and

Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained

to him the way of God more adequately. Acts 18.
