*MONTHS IN RED ARE THE
MONTH YOU VOLUNTEERED
TO BRING REFRESHMENTS.
Capital City Camera Club Members
Don’t Miss Out! The Capital City Camera Club has great programs and competitions
each month that give us the oppor-tunity to learn more about this art form that we all enjoy so much. These meetings give us the chance to spend
a couple of hours with others who have the same interests and needs that we do. I can’t tell you how much I’ve learned and grown as a photographer due to these meetings and competi-tions. But, if you’re only going to the meetings, you’re missing out on one of the best parts of being a member of the club. The field trips each month give us the chance to be together for an extended period of time with the same people we learn so much from at the meetings and in a venues that offer real op-portunities to take photographs of interesting and exciting places and things. You’ll find that having others around you who are taking photographs of the same things will bring out your
creativity and push you to think along lines you may not have otherwise tried. And that’s not to mention the fact that you’ll have others around to ask questions of and from whom you can learn. Many of the entries and the winning photographs from our competitions have been taken during field trips. Coming up later in the summer, during the hottest months of the year, we will have some Saturday workshops in lieu of field trips. These workshops are another great way to learn about photography and shouldn’t be missed. Details are still pending but the workshops are tentatively scheduled for July and Au-gust. More information on this topic will be forthcoming soon. Don’t miss out on one of the best parts of being a member of the Capital City Camera Club. Make plans to participate in our field trips and our workshops if at all possible. And, if you have ideas about where you would like to go on a field trip or thoughts on a workshop that you would like us to put together, please let me know and I’ll pass your suggestions on to the Field Trip & Workshop Committee. See you soon, Chuck
