TAILORED SPACE MANAGEMENT

For over 30 years Space Logic has improved the efficiency and safety of work places in the commercial, industrial and medical field. This case history represents a project that we have undertaken and demonstrates the care taken to exceed the often demanding challenges presented by our clients.

THE CHALLENGE

Hansen Yuncken were contracted by Ausgrid, one of Australia’s leading Energy suppliers, to manage the construction of their new Ourimbah Depot – a brand new facility comprising administration buildings, warehousing, workshops and amenities for Ausgrid personnel. Space Logic was chosen to provide expertise in the design, consultancy, supply and installation of standard and customised storage solutions for the warehousing and workshop components of the build. The challenge was in being able to come up with customised and highly innovative designs that needed to meet some very specific client requirements, coupled with a rapid delivery timeframe for installation.

THE APPROACH

A close consultative approach with the client during the early phase of the project meant both Hansen Yuncken and Ausgrid had a clear understanding of the efficiency benefits that the storage solution would bring. Having good quality stock available at short notice and a reliable supplier base meant that the rigorous deadlines could also be adhered to during the fit out phase of the project. Unique design solutions were also able to be custom built and installed within the tight timeframe due to Space Logic’s ongoing consultative approach.

THE RESULT

By allowing Space Logic to have design input and influence it meant Hansen Yuncken could deliver a turnkey project that fully satisfied Ausgrid’s brief, rather than just strict adherence only to a given specification. A range of different products were incorporated into the project, including the construction of a selective racking raised storage area which included a secure mesh cladded Crib Bay specific to the client’s needs.Photography courtesy of Andy Warren
