THE sequel of action classic “Top Gun,” which went a long way in establishing actor Tom Cruise’s leading man status, will start fi lm-ing by July, according to a report by fi lm news site Omega Under-ground.

Omega Underground reported over the weekend that the studios behind the project — Paramount and Skydance — intend to start the shoot by the middle of the year. Paramount had earlier said the sequel will hit the silver screens July 12, 2019.

Helming the fi lm is Joseph Kosinski, who also directed Cruise in “Oblivion” in 2013. Kosinski had made his debut fi lming “Tron: Legacy” in 2010 and followed “Oblivion” with “Only the Brave” in 2017.

Casting and crew hirings is the next step in the process of making this long-awaited sequel a reality, Omega Underground said.

‘Top Gun’ sequel to start shooting: report

BOLLYWOOD actor Irrfan Khan has revealed that he is suffering from a “rare disease.”

He has asked his fans not to speculate on his condition, adding that he will share more when “fur-ther investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis.”

Khan, 51, has acted in more than 100 fi lms, including Bollywood hits “Piku,” “Maqbool,” “Haasil” and “Paan Singh Tomar.”

His English-language fi lms include “Life of Pi,” “Slumdog Millionaire” and “The Amazing Spider-Man.”

He took to Twitter on Monday to talk about his illness.

Khan is India’s best-known international actor and has also featured in a wide range of well-received roles in Bollywood and independent Hindi fi lms.

In 2013, he won India’s National Film Award for his leading role in “Paan Singh Tomar,” a biopic about a top athlete who becomes a bandit.

He has also won the Viewers’ Choice Award at the Cannes Film Festival for his portrayal of a lonely accountant who mistak-enly receives a lunchbox intended for a colleague in the 2013 fi lm “The Lunchbox.” It was also the only Indian fi lm to be selected for competition at the London Film Festival that year. THERE’S more speculation that Jay-Z and Beyonce are going on tour together.

Fans were eager to get their hands on tickets for another joint concert when a listing appeared on Ticketmaster and on Beyonce’s Facebook page.

The posts showed a countdown to buy tickets for a show in Philadelphia on July 30, but they were taken down.

It’s not the fi rst time fans have got excited about a joint tour — last month a page on Ticketmaster showed “Beyonce and Jay-Z tickets,” but was deleted.

Fans thought this time the tour was fi nally being announced because details of dates also appeared on Beyonce’s Facebook page.

Presale for the tour was scheduled to begin Wednesday morning for Tidal subscribers.

The general public would have had to wait until March 12 to buy tickets.

The excitement for fans didn’t last long because the posts on Ticketmaster and Facebook were pulled after a few minutes.

The couple last toured together in 2014 with their On the Run Tour.

Beyonce and Jay-Z haven’t confi rmed or denied a tour is happening, but fans are speculating that this is a sign they are going to announce a joint gig soon.

Others were worried that they’d missed their chance to get tickets to the concert

after the post disappeared on Ticketmas-ter. One fan tweeted: “Can someone tell me where to fi nd Beyonce and Jay-Z new tour on Ticketmaster? I swear nothing is popping up and I’m scared tickets are gonna sell out before I even fi nd it.”

Jay-Z and Beyonce released what’s considered to be their most personal work over the last two years, with Beyonce’s “Lemonade” and Jay-Z’s “4:44” both hinting that he had cheated on her.

Given the success of those albums it’s unsurprising fans would really like the tour rumors to be true.

HIT hip-hop musical “Hamilton” has made Olivier awards history by receiv-ing a record 13 nominations.

The West End show received two more nominations than the 11 “Hair-spray” and “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” received in 2008 and 2017 respectively.

Two of its nominations are in the best actor in a musical category, where Giles Terera and Jamael Westman are both recognized.

“The Ferryman” gets eight nomina-tions, including one for best new play.

Catherine Tate will host this year’s awards, to be held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on April 8.

“Hamilton” uses rap and hip-hop to tell the story of U.S. Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, played by Jamael Westman in London.

Three of the show’s Olivier nomina-tions come in the same category — best

supporting actor in a musical — meaning that the most awards it can actually win is 10.

The National Theater’s production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Follies” has also performed strongly, having landed 10 nominations.
