SRSLY cool things from year 3: - 50 new youth and adults joined SRSLY - 70 SRSLY member volunteered 253 Hours - 1 SRSLY member attended the CADCA Mid-Year Training Institute in Las Vegas, NV - 12 youth joined the Youth Steering Committee (YSC) - SRSLY has had 280 total members volunteer since the coalition began in 2013 SRSLY cool things from year 3 -The Big Red Barrel in Dexter & Scio Township has collected over 325 pounds of medication since 2013 - The Safe Homes list has 60 families publicly committing to keeping Dexter youth safe in their homes - Introduced CPTN SRSLY comic books to students in grades 2-6 - Presented letters and stickers acknowledging 10 local stores/restaurants that passed Alcohol Compliance Checks - 3rd Annual SRSLY Dodgeball Tournament - Project Sticker Shock - What’s Your Anti-Drug Media Contest - 4th Annual Kickoff Rally, SRSLY Pool Party, New Year’s Eve Party, SRSLY Cinema - Hosted Drugs 101 at Mill Creek Middle School - Monthly MAGIC the Gathering Tournaments - Local presentations given to Dexter School Board, Dexter Wellness Coalition, Rotary Club, and Mill Creek Middle School classrooms A community coalition established to prevent destructive behavior in Dexter youth, with support from St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea, the 5 Healthy Towns Foundation, and the Drug Free Communities Support Program. Over the past three years, 280 SRSLY volunteers have donated more than 1550 hours to preventing destructive behavior in Dexter youth. DREAD STRONG! SRSLY is a community coalition dedicated to the prevention of destructive behavior in Dexter youth. We implement multiple strategies, across multiple sectors, to address multiple causes to a problem.
