Thank You from Bishop Serratelli I was recently given a report on the results of the 2017 Bishop’s Annual Appeal, & I am overjoyed to see that more than $4.6 million has been pledged. This is a record for our Diocese & means that we can provide ongoing critical support to vital ministries, especially to those that serve our brothers & sisters in profound need. These numbers also reflect the stewardship of so many people in your parish. The generous response to our Bishop’s Annual appeal by the parishioners of St. Andrew’s is a true blessing & changes lives. Many come to our Church in need of critical services & leave with more. They take with them love & compassion of the parishioners of the Paterson Diocese. I thank all who made this possible by participating in the 2017 Appeal.
Food Pantry Food donations are greatly appreciated! Containers are placed at both parking lot entrances & the front entrance. The need for food donations continues to be great.
Remember: The Perpetual Novena in honor of The Miraculous Medal Mondays at 7pm.
St. Andrew’s School News Mrs. Buttray’s Prek4 class is discovering the world of weather. They will be reading stories about wind, rain, snow & clouds. There
will be crafts & a fun experiment about clouds & rain drops. Prek4 will also get together with their Grade 3 Reading Buddies for a STEM project about simple rockets. In science the 5th grade is learning about temperature, thermal energy, the phase changes of matter & how the particles move in the phases. Next up is the behavior of fluids, where they will talk about Archimedes’ principle, buoyancy, density & pressure. The 7th graders are exploring how the Constitution makes our government work. They’re examining its six goals & seven basic principles. Students gain an understanding of the three branches of government, the court system & the bicameral legislature.
May the special graces of baptism, through water & the Holy Spirit, lead you to everlasting life. Our parish community rejoices with you & gives praise to God for this new gift of life. God Bless…

Spring Car Wash Calling all dirty cars! SAS Class of 2018 is holding their Spring car wash on May 12th!

YYouth Group Bake Sale Youth Group’s annual Spring Bake Sale will be held on May 5th & 6th after all
mases. Please support our teens by donating baked goods to our sale or purchasing a yummy treat after mass! Baked items must be dropped off at the bake sale table on Saturday, May 5th between 4:30pm & 6:30pm. All items must be wrapped & clearly labeled (especially whether or not the item includes nuts), along with the baker’s name & number which only Michelle will see. Our Fall Bake Sale raised $800! Our new goal is $1000! Thank you for your continued generosity!
