BUSY BEE Last Sunday’s Busy Bee was a phenomenal success! The enthusiasc group started at 8am with a safety briefing from our foreman Darren Coulson before moving to the various projects. The grassy mounds took shape, the three level fort had its plaorms built and the bridge was constructed. At the same me, other parents pruned and planted in the Kindy/Pre-Primary playground. While most Busy Bees might last a couple of hours, the St Mary’s crew didn’t want to stop aſter a lunch break and worked through to 4pm before stopping and admiring the fruits of their hard work. The manual labour has been greatly supported by the aid of machinery with Kim Piacenni, Domenic Fiore and Jim Cross all playing a part. Special thanks to Suzie Liaros and her band of Nature Play Commiee members who have put many hours into the planning. Dear Parents, Students and Friends, The End of Year Awards Concert and Kindy Concert were both outstanding successes. Congratulations to the staff and students on the very clever and varied performances from musicals from over the years. Well done to all of the award winners across the year levels. I would like to take this opportunity to thank parents for the wonderful support shown throughout the year and wish you all a safe and happy holiday. BUSY BEE Last Sunday’s Busy Bee was a phenomenal success! The enthusiastic group started at 8am with a safety briefing

from our foreman Darren Coulson before moving to the various projects. The grassy mounds took shape, the three

level fort had its platforms built and the bridge was constructed. At the same time, other parents pruned and

planted in the Kindy/Pre-Primary playground. While most Busy Bees might last a couple of hours, the St Mary’s

crew didn’t want to stop after a lunch break and worked through to 4pm before stopping and admiring the fruits of

their hard work. The manual labour has been greatly supported by the aid of machinery with Kim Piacentini,

Domenic Fiore and Jim Cross all playing a part. Special thanks to Suzie Liaros and her band of Nature Play

Committee members who have put many hours into the planning. The large group of volunteers were extremely

grateful for the biscuits, cake and muffins sent in by families who weren’t able to make it on the day. Stage 1 of

the Nature Play will be worked on during the holidays and will be ready to play on once school starts back!

Prayer for Those Who May Be Travelling this Holiday

God, protect us as we travel, by air or land or sea. Keep us safe, and guide us, wherever we

may be.

PLAY CAFÉ’S TRIP TO THE BIG SWAMP The final Play Café session for the year was held at the Big Swamp Park. The weather was perfect and the children enjoyed the equipment and each other’s company. Bubbles brought along by Mrs Anderson were a big hit. Thank you to all of the parents and grandparents who have brought children along to the weekly Play Café sessions. Congratulations to Mrs Anderson for arranging such a wide variety of activities each week that the children have loved. God bless, Paul Cronin
