he joins the community of faith today through the
Sacrament of Baptism.
Rosary—Led by our 3, 4, and 9th Graders

tion to and recitation of a living Rosary that will light
up the Sanctuary. Please come and support our
children and spend some time in prayer.
Stations of the Cross:
St. Patrick’s—St. Mary’s on Wednesday mornings at
10:30 AM after the Wednesday Mass.
Sacred Heart—St. Mary’s on Friday Evening at 6:30

New Reconciliation Room:
Our deepest thanks goes to Ron Baker in creating a
very lovely Reconciliation Room in the Sacristy
closest to the Rectory. Confessions will now be held
in this room providing privacy.
God Gives A Rosary:
Over the past two years, 6th Grader Emilie Fancett
has wanted to give honor to the Blessed Mother in
special way. Emilie has developed the “God Gives A
Rosary Campaign” for members of our parish.
(cont’d…)
“God Gives a Rosary”
In the Church Hall, Emilie will
install one of our smaller
statues of Mary, which her
mom, Brenda, has restored to
its former glory. There will be
coloring sheets with directions
on how to say the Rosary.
Also, there will be a bowl where you can pick up
a rosary or donate extra rosaries to this campaign.
When the bowl is full, we will distribute extras to
Chaplains in local nursing homes, hospitals, and
jail ministries and also to international groups with
a similar mission. We thank Emilie for this
beautiful honor to our Blessed Mother, Mary, as
she encourages all of us to be part of this
campaign.
~ Hail Mary, Full of Grace,

Symbols of the Season in our Sanctuary:
Why Purple? 1. It is associated with mourning and
the crucifixion of Jesus. 2. It is also associated with
the Kingly Nature of Jesus.
Why rocks in the Holy Water Fonts? Lent is a season
of dryness, of a poverty of spirit, of repentance. The
rocks remind us of this. The Holy Water will return
on Easter, a season of joy, plenty and new life.
Why sticks, dry blooms, and tumbleweed? Once
again, these symbols remind us of the call to a spirit
of fasting, prayer, and almsgiving in our own
personal journey to Jesus this Lent.
