Today’s Meditation The Lord said to Joshua, “Today I have removed the reproach of Egypt from you.” After forty years of wandering in the desert, this hard-headed people have finally reached the Promised Land. No more do they eat the manna in the desert, but they partake of the fruits of their new homeland. God has kept the promise
to their parents in Egypt. Even though they were a sinful people, many times questioning God and even worshiping false gods, God has forgiven them and fulfilled the promise. The “take-away” for us is that there is no sin that is unforgivable. We may have offended our neighbors, given a bad example to someone, even worshiped the false gods of money and power. But God is a merciful God, true to the words spoken to us. God forgives all and calls us back to love. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
Our Mission Statement
In recognition of God’s love and presence in every human being, the members of Saint Stanislaus Parish embrace the challenge to serve God and all His people. In fellowship with one another, we nurture our Catholic Faith through the celebration of the sacraments and reflection on the word of God. As a welcoming and culturally diverse Faith Community, we strive to proclaim and live the good News of Jesus Christ while providing for the spiritual and physical needs of those less fortunate.

Most parishioners realize that their Bishop’s Annual Appeal gifts support the hungry, the homeless, the frail and the sick. But your help goes beyond that. Every parishioner benefits from the BAA. Every Catholic School and parish faith formation program, like the one here in our parish, is helped by your gift. Marriage preparation programs, seminarian and deacon formation as well as a host of other spiritual and educational activities exist through God’s grace and your generosity. If you have not participated thus far, please consider a pledge today. Use the BAA pledge cards and envelopes sent to you by the Bishop, or find some in the Gathering Area. You may send them directly to the address on the envelope provided. Thank you very much for your generosity.

Wilmington Walk to Defeat ALS
Saturday, April 13, 2019 at
Hugh MacRae Park
Check In: 9:00 a.m. Walk Begins: 10:00 a.m.
Walk distance is 2 miles
Ludi, Gene and Lena Lipari invite you to walk with team “Charlie’s Angels” as they come together with other warriors to raise awareness of, and funds for, ALS which is more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
ALS is a deadly illness with no known cause or cure. It affects the motor neurons in a person’s brain and spinal cord. When the neurons die, the muscles waste away. Gradually, a person is robbed of the ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe.
The St. Stanislaus Community was personally affected by this disease as it claimed the life of one of our dearest members, Charlie Lipari, nearly four years ago. Charlie is now in Heaven, but the fight continues. So please walk with our team in loving memory of Charlie for whom “Charlie’s Angels” began in 2004. If you cannot walk, please accept this invitation to come and simply cheer us on from the sidelines.
Thank you and God bless.
