What’s telematics?

Telematics is the gathering of vehicle information and data via communication devices, such as satellites and wireless technologies.

Types of information collected:

■ Driving speed■ Hard acceleration or braking■ Miles traveled■ How sharp you make turns■ When and how often you drive

Telematics devices DON’T collect your driver or passenger images or voices.

Our fleet telematics program includes:

■ Adapter device for each eligible vehicle, also called the leave-in device

■ Access to fleet management tool■ Mobile app for fleet management tool■ Accident scene contact from our claims department*■ Lost or stolen vehicle tracking*■ Ability to receive alerts via text, email or Twitter**■ Discounts!

State Auto Fleet Safety 360SM is a FREE program with a FREE device and FREE fleet management tool!

WHY A FULL-TIME LEAVE-IN PROGRAM?

How do I enroll in telematics?

1. Ask your independent agent to provide you a State Auto Fleet Safety 360 quote.

2. Receive your leave in-devices in the mail within 7-10 days.3. Plug the device under the driver’s side dash — leave device installed

at all times.4. Start driving to earn more discounts.5. Check the customer portal or smartphone app to review your driving

score.

HOW DO I ENROLL IN TELEMATICS?

How do I opt out of the telematics program?

1. You can cancel participation in the program at any time by contacting your agent. All discounts will be removed from the business auto policy.

2. Remove the device(s) from the vehicles and mail it back within 30 days, using a prepaid envelope that will be sent to the customer.

3. A $50 fee could be charged if we don’t receive the devices within 30 days.
