QUESTIONDoes color
preference affect your choice ?
B
PurposeThe purpose of this
investigation is to determine if color preference affect your
choice. This is important because if I owned a bakery
and every one liked blue cupcakes, I would make more
blue cupcakes.
HYPOTHESISI HYPOTHESIZE THAT COLOR
PEFERENCE DOES EFFCT YOUR CHOICE.
PROCEDURE
MATERIALS• Clear bucket • Color cubes • Clip board
VARIABLEManipulated-color
Responding-color choices Constant-cubes, bucket and number of cubes
picked
DIRECTIONS1. Gather materials2. Fill clear bucket with gram cubes3. Let some one pick out ten cubes and
record their picks4. Ask them what their favorite color is
and record their choice5. Determine if they picked more cubes
that were their favorite color6. Repeat steps 2-5 with 5 more people7. Repeat steps 1-6 for four more trials
SUBJECTS WHO PICKED THEIR FAVORITE COLOR
TRIAL 1 TRIAL 2 TRIAL 3 TRIAL 4 TRIAL 5 AVERAGE
PERCENTAGE OF SUBJECTS WHO PICKED
THEIR FAVORITE
COLOR
20 20 80 40 80 48
CONCLUSIONMy hypothesis was incorrect. Color preference does not effect your choice. The percentage of subjects who picked their favorite color was 48%. If I were able to do this again, I would have a section for names. When I test someone and then I test him or her again, they could know what I'm doing and it could effect my average.
