Technology Accountabilities
Enable teams to activate end to end digital experiences for customers, colleagues and partners, that are more secure, robust and scalable than ever before, and deliver them with lightning speed
Bring thought leadership in your field of expertise to support the planning and execution of Technology’s strategic priorities, contemporary operating model and business plan
Contribute to both Technology and IAG performance with insights, collaborative input and expertise that promotes value creation, innovation, managed risk, and improved performance
Continue to develop and plan for future growth, enabling enterprise programs and managing products and services across the entire IAG estate.
Demonstrate the IAG purpose and provide leadership to staff and partners that enables, promotes and demands IAG behaviours at all times

Your current accountabilities will also require you to:
At the level of Specialist, I Developer you will work on simple solutions and under the guidance of a more senior person and perform the following activities:
Understand the SDLC model and what their specific activities are in designing and then delivering a solid, robust application;
Develop to coding and source code development standards;
Develop code that is clean, understandable, maintainable and solid;
Develop and implement test plans to accurately test the application code, functions, modules and program;
Develop and maintain detailed and accurate documentation per all IAG standards;
Capabilities and Skills
• Defect fix during system and user acceptance testing;
• Participate in the project estimation process
• Deploy software components through non-production environments and/or hand over to the relevant release team;
• Pro-actively identify application improvements as part of the development or support activities and working with a more senior member of the team, provide advice in situations where subtle changes to requirements yield savings in software development cost or application efficiency/performance;
• Participation in out of hours incident resolution when required;
• Deliver using agile and continuous delivery principles. Attend standups, retros, planning and prioritisation sessions;

Skills/Specialism
Demonstrated knowledge of:
Design and development techniques.
Basic working knowledge of the application design and development processes, methodologies and their direct implementation to applications projects.
Basic understanding of structured programming principles (e.g. object-oriented) as applied to software development.

Good proficiency with verbal, written presentation, facilitation and communication skills in English

Ideal Degree/Discipline
Computer Science, Software Engineering, Java or other related disciplines
Eligibility Requirements
Second last or final year of a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree
No preference on citizenship requirements
Identify as having disability
Candidates may be required to undergo a background check security clearance
