CAREER HISTORY 05/2014 – 05/2016 Supply Chain, Purchasing & Planning Manager BAE Systems, Saudi Arabia

Assigned to the SALAM contract; a UK collaboration project for Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF). Managed client expectations on this £1.8 bn contract, positively dealt with a portfolio of multi-

national stakeholders, responsible for all spares availability supporting the fleet. Maintained all performance statistics across the programme for senior management/directors,

supporting presentations to RSAF Base Commander on a monthly basis. Performed the role of Pseudo Supply Programme Manager for 6 months and led teams of up to 45

people including Saudi nationals reporting to the Operational Director Implemented training needs analysis and succession planning, and generalised job titles to produce

a multi-skilled and flexible workforce.

01/2007 – 05/2014 Senior Project Manager BAE Systems, RAF MarhamGuaranteeing RAF’s Tornado availability, capability and effectiveness throughout its service life. PM for a Supply Chain team of 160 personnel, managing all aspects of purchasing, procurement and

inventory and performance management. Project Planner for obsolescence; liaised with manufacturers for non-destructive testing on parts

from alternative suppliers. Maintained a major inventory and planned orders from 6 months up to several years in advance for

some components. Produced monthly accounts, expenditure forecast, plus graphical presentations of project status to

project directors. Undertook activities such as continual resource planning, budget accounting, and analysis of project

funding and business risk. Leveraged exceptional supply chain abilities on the RTP(re-lifing spares from A/C due out-of-service)

ATTAC project for Tornados enhancing availability whilst reducing cost. Drove forward project to build waterproof racking systems on trailers for fins and ailerons. Additionally appointed as Health & Safety Representative and department Risk Assessor.

01/2000 – 12/2006 Purchasing Officer KLM UK, Norwich & AmsterdamKLM UK Engineering – a leading aircraft maintenance company; owned by AFI KLM E&M. Purchased all aircraft requirements for Production engineering, managed company spend, lease and

rental repairs. Secured supply chain and enhanced relationships with suppliers of KLM UK to reduce lead times and

unit costs. Adeptly assessed and balanced (buy/sell/lease options) of all current stock holdings which included

capital assets. Cross-referred work tasks to previous work to create a BOM per aircraft type for long-term plans and

call-off contracts. Set up a tender for global firms to bid for ATR plane spares no longer required; generated £1M from

a single contract. Set up purchasing contracts and stock disposals; complied with CAA and EASA audit needs.
