On Wednesday 4 March, Shyamla , an accom-

plished Performing Artist, Choreographer and

Teacher with 3 decades of dance experience, will

be conducting a dance workshop with students at

school. Shyamla’s latest workshop “Hip Hopping

from Bollywood to Brazil…. And Beyond” features

dance styles from around the globe including

80s/90s Hip Hop from New York, Rio Funk, Bahian

Axe, Samba from Brazil and Classic Bollywood

and Street Dance from India. This is a non-stop

movement based experience that encourages self-

expression, team spirit and cross-cultural appreci-

ation.

This Thursday Woolomin Public School will be

hosting a debating day with students from our

WLA partner schools. Students will workshop to-

gether before debating the other WLA school

teams on a range of topics. Students have been

preparing during lessons and we look forward to

hearing the teams compete in their debates.

Students are reminded that the whole of the

school grounds including the oval, sandpit, old

school residence and buildings are included in the

Inclosed Lands Protection Act. Which prohibits by

law, the entry onto grounds without the permission

of the Principal.

No one should enter the school grounds after

hours without permission. This includes both

current and previous students, families and mem-

bers of the community.
