Summary of Friday Sermon - December 01, 2017

The 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal is the day when that light was born, who has been

termed “Siraj-e-Munir” (Bright Lamp) in the Holy Qur’an (i.e. The Holy

Prophetsa

). He established the teachings of God in the world and revived the

spiritually dead. He was indeed a mercy for the world, as Allah says in the Holy

Qur’an:

“We have not sent thee but as a mercy for the entire world.”

Allah declares in the Holy Qur’an that he is the most excellent role model for

entire humanity. Allah says:

“For you is an excellent model in the Prophet of Allahsa

.”

A Muslim cannot be called a Muslim without following the model of the Holy

Prophet (sa). He has set a model in the worship of God, in demonstrating the

highest of morals, and in establishing the rights of fellow human beings. It is

unfortunate that, majority of Muslims have put aside the excellent model of the

Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa).

They celebrate the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, but do not vow to follow the

model of the Holy Prophet (sa), which teaches peace, good morals and mercy for

everyone. Now days, we see a heightened state of security in Pakistan. The hate

speech against Ahmadis continues to be on the rise. Recently, we saw many violent

protests in Pakistan against Ahmadis, resulting in a loss of millions (of rupees).

This is all the result of the disorder created by these so-called scholars, in the name

of love of the Holy Prophet (sa). These people do not follow the teachings of the

Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) and rather use religion to issue judgments on the






faith of others. However, for us - Ahmadi Muslims – it is crucial to study and

follow all aspects of the blessed life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa).

Describing the Holy Prophet’s (sa) love for God, the Promised Messiah (as)

has said that the Holy Prophet (sa) sacrificed himself for only One Being. He had

lost himself in the love of God to such an extent that people of Mecca would say:

ه د ربا عشق محما“Muhammad (sa) has lost himself in the love of his Lord.”

The Promised Messiah (as) states: “I always look with amazement that this

Arabian Prophet, whose name is Muhammad (thousand upon thousand blessings

and salutations be on him). How great is the status of this Prophet (sa). The

greatness of his high status cannot be assessed and to estimate the efficacy of his

holy power is beyond human capacity. He loved God with extreme love and his

heart softened to the highest degree in compassion towards the mankind. So God,

who knew the secret of his heart, elevated him above all the Prophets, above all the

earlier or later people and fulfilled all his wishes during his life time. He is the one,

who is the fountain head of every kind of blessings.”

Regarding the Tahajjud prayer offered by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa),

Hazrat Aisha (ra) says that he would offer no more than 11 Rakas. However, they

were so prolonged and magnificent that it would be hard to describe them. Once

she asked the Holy Prophet (sa): God has forgiven all of your mistakes, why then

do you put yourself in so much pain? He replied: “Should I not become a grateful

servant of God”?

Another excellent moral which peaked in the Holy Prophet (sa) was humility

and meekness. Hazrat Aisha (ra) says that it never happened that a person called

the Holy Prophet (sa), and he didn’t respond to their call. He would meet every






person. Hazrat Ali (ra) says that when the Holy Prophet (sa) met someone, he

would turn his entire body towards them, and that he would always be the first to

say Salam (greetings of peace).

Huzoor Anwar said that if we want to celebrate the life of the Holy Prophet

(sa), we need to follow his example. We need to increase the standards of our

worship and the standards of our morals. The Promised Messiah (as) has taught us

to refer to the model of the Holy Prophet (sa) for guidance, in every aspect of our

lives. Describing the Holy Prophet (sa), he states:

“That human being who was the most perfect and the perfect man,

perfect Prophet and came with perfect blessings and by whose spiritual

proclamation and resurrection the world experienced the first Doom's Day

and the entire world, a dead (Spiritually) world became alive by his advent.

That blessed Prophet, the 'seal of the Prophets’, leader of the righteous, pride

of the Messengers and pride of the Prophets, was Muhammad Mustafa (sa). O

our beloved God, send such blessings and mercy on our beloved Prophet (sa)

as you have not sent on anyone since the beginning of this world.”

Huzoor Anwar (aa) also announced the funeral prayer of Salma Ghani

Sahiba of USA. She entered the Jama‘at in 1960 at the age of 26. She served

Jama‘at in different offices, including as Sadr Lajna Imaillah.
