This week we will continue our series

called, “Managing Me.” In this series we

will be talking about how we manage

difficult situations in life such as forgiv-

ing ourselves of our sin, dealing with

when we bring harm to ourselves, and

facing the loss of people in our lives.

Summer 2016

Juniors and Seniors going to Ecuador, you

can go ahead and start making payments

now. Don’t forget to start working on

getting your passport if you don’t have one

already!

Centrifuge Camp is for all 6th-10th graders.

table.

Dates for CFUGE are June 27 - July 2, 2016

Today’s Lesson:

God the Covenant-Maker:

The Testing of Abraham

In this session we see how Abraham’s faith in God’s

promise was put to the test. God commanded Abraham

to sacrifice Isaac, the very son Abraham and Sarah had

been promised and God had finally given them. Believing

God would somehow be true to His word, Abraham was

willing to obey, even if it meant giving up his beloved

son. This event gives us a picture of the special sacrifice

God requires for sin and a picture of saving faith in God’s

promises. As we embrace God’s promises, we are

empowered to engage in His mission.

2. Hebrews 11:17-19
