Dear fellow community member, greetings from ICCI.

Our wonderful nation, a vibrant, multi-cultural democracy is

well on the road to becoming an economic super-power by

the year 2030.

Imamia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), The apex body of

Imamia Businesses of India, was formed with a mandate to facilitate and

enable more than 30 million strong Imamia Community of India, second

largest population of Shia's after Iran to integrate strongly into the socio-

economic mainstream of the nation, contribute to and prosper in the

nation's growth. The focus of ICCI is on both community and nation

building, since they are inextricably intertwined.

The Imamia community in India, like millions of Dalits and Minorities, has

not benefitted from the growth that the nation has seen in the last seven

decades post-Independence. According to the Justice Sachar Committee

report on the status of minorities in India, almost 35% of Dalits and

minorities still live below the poverty line and the level of graduates or

technically qualified is an abysmal 3% and 1.6% respectively. Sources of

formal employment are few, growing slowly and availability of financial

support for entrepreneurs is still a challenge. This needs to change. And

ICCI is bound to take up the challenge to change this situation.

ICCI is also delighted to having signed number of MoU's with Iran, most

specific to Astan-e-Qods Razavi and hence, would like to work together

with Astan on mutual objectives.

I am happy to share that the third National Annual Conference of ICCI

would take place on 22nd, 23rd June 2019 at Messe Global Exhibition and

Convention Centre in Pune.The theme of the conference would be around

the ICCI focus areas of 3Es: Education, Employment and

Entrepreneurship. There will be a National Expo of businesses to showcase,

grow and share the progress of their successful enterprises from Shia

Community. In addition, keeping in line with the new age trends and need

for the young entrepreneurs of the community, there will be a third edition

of National Start Up Challenge, where the brightest young community

minds will showcase their technology, Innovation, ideas and takeaway spot

funding in addition to mentorship support and VC funding from

independent investors.

On this nation building occasion we would like to Invite you to attend,
