iVisionmax-Secure – Industrial Software Platform for
Integrated Security Management
iVisionmax-Secure is a one stop solution for integrated
security management for all the Industrial Segments.
iVisionmax-Secure expands the functionality of an VMS
and all the other security system to provide a single point
interface to monitor and control the plant environment.
It plays vital role in collecting and controlling security &
process data within the plant and across geographically
dispersed field operations. This enhances operational
efficiency and effectiveness. It enables real-time control
and access to operational information, enabling operators
to communicate, collaborate and take informed decisions.
Integrated Security Management with iVisionmax-Secure
iVisionmax-Secure expands the functional coverage
of standard VMS and other Security systems using
its various in-built software components. These
include providing the VMS with business functions
such as:
•Monitor and control all security equipment’s from
single interface
•Achieve Integrated functionalities like display of
cameras in case of access breach, grant/deny
access based on personnel identification, etc.
•Freehand lasso function or real-time display of
cameras viewing cone (which allows the operator
to locate the video quickly on operational theatre).
•Advance functions like image analysis, urban
devices monitoring (Variable Display Panel,
retractable bollard, geolocation of vehicles,
emergency calls from the merchants, etc.),
•The possibility to share and/or to provide third
parties or national authorities with the videos.
•Any other safety and security requirement specific
to a facility
To integrate these systems and implement these
functions, the standard provision in any make/model
of a security system like CCTV, ACS, PIDS, etc. is
boosted by specific customized software modules and
solutions, developed by L&T Electrical and
Automation using SDKs, API and/or Open
communication protocols like OPC, Modbus, TCP
ASCII, etc.. provided by these security systems
vendors.

Modular 3-Tier Architecture
iVisionmax-Secure follows a Modular Architecture and

Fixed Modules:
• DATA CONNECTOR – for Data Collection
• EVENTS – For Alarm & Event Management
• GRAPHICS module – For Customized Graphics
• WALL module – For Video Management
Data Connector:
The DATA CONNECTOR module is a software service that
connects to the VMS or other security systems server and
supports the collection of data that needs to be managed in
the graphical interface. For example, these include
communication drivers for third-party systems, location
information (Pan, tilt, Zoom) of motorized domes or specific
commands for managing an image wall.
The DATA CONNECTOR plugin has a multitude of drivers,
with the issue of video heterogeneity, it works as a multi-
protocol converter. It communicates with VMS and other
security systems in a compliant way (SDK, generic events,
APIs, Open Protocols) and standardizes the exchanges
between the graphical interface and in some cases even
directly with the field equipment like cameras. This opening
feature can work as a VMS with extended features. This
gives your system greater flexibility over hardware
evolutions and choice of solutions that might appear after
the first installation.
The DATA CONNECTOR module has an extensive library of
drivers and protocols for third-party
systems. It uses most of the transmission means: serial port
(RS232, RS422, RS485), IP port,
industrial field bus. In addition to the OPC, Modbus and SIA
protocols.
WALL module
The iVisionmax-Secure software module tool also offers
WALL module, dedicated to image walls management. Any
current Video Management System can integrate WALL,
featuring http protocol. WALL displays VMS video streams,
ONVIF video streams direct from the camera, VNC streams
(remote desktop from a remote PC) as well as web feeds.

Event Module:
As its name suggests, the EVENTS module provides an
advanced events management:
• Digital input
• Timers, counters
• Sensor status: ON, OFF, inhibit, enable, disable, in
maintenance, in repair
• Measurements
• Alarms: “mother” alarm, “daughter” alarm, alarm
synthesis, operating alarm, technical
• Alarm
• Inference engine based on production rules
(conditions/actions), evaluating initiating
• events and triggering, when applicable, status
change instructions.
This tool allows, through a configuration interface (DATA
MANAGER), to define the connected
field devices, events, alarms and management rules. The
rules can make several sub-systems
interact video surveillance, intrusion detection, image
analysis, access control, etc.
Graphics Module:
The GRAPHICS service publishes its data toward graphical
components. The operations manager designs its own GUI,
gathering graphical components and enabling among other
things:
• Display a map with a hierarchy of plans, for a
smooth and effective navigation,
• Display an alarm manager to be processed by the
operators (alarms are saved in the database),
• Dispose of ergonomic functions of multiple
selection (freehand lasso function, map
attraction),
• Display on the map, the projection of the viewing
cone of cameras
• Mix various video sources on GUI: cameras,
recorders, http streams (websites), DVI output of
remote computers.
The Smart Client integrates the Web pages that strengthen
the user interface created from the
various modules. The supervision environment remains
unique and centralized, based on the
end user application.
Enhanced Graphical Functionality
Free Hand Operation using Lasso
Tool:
The lasso tool operates on the
active layer of a map and is used by
clicking and dragging to trace the
edges of a selection.
The selected items could be any
active components like camera
access control objects etc to push
the data on the video wall.
This feature enabled to operator to
use free hand operation in order to
select various equipment.
Camera view on the map
Tooltip to quick view the camera
from the Map.
This Enables Operator to quickly
view the camera in case of any alarm
in the field visible in the map.
In case of Alarm the Video wall
automatically changes to the camera
containing alarm.
Historical Alarm & Video
The system actively connects to the NVR and provides the
historical feed of the Video. It supports multiple make NVRs
iVisionmax-Secure has inbuilt alarm and event management
module that stores historical alarms and events
Integration with VNC viewer and HTML
iVisionmax-Secure enables the integration
of any VNC viewer or standard
HTML/Webpage in video Wall. One can
access the configuration server
workstation using the VNC viewer from a
single interface.
HTML pages helps to monitor status and
detailed diagnostics on any IP based
device in the system like camera, ANPR
system etc.
Map Attraction
The “map attraction” function allows the
n cameras of the selected map to be
displayed on the screens surrounding
the map. The operator immediately has
the video context attached to the
displayed map. The viewing system
allows displaying several types of
streams including http streams (for
example, the official site of the road
traffic around your site) or the video
output (DVI output) of a remote
computer (for example, the video output
of the patrols geolocation workstation).
The GRAPHICS module provides
operator with interactive mapping
functions, telemetry information (PTZ,
GPS), as well as new user-friendly tools
for fast selection and displaying of the
video sources.
